It's an underrated N64 classic. I bought it when it first came out. Something about the game just drew me in. It had cool robot bosses that sorta seemed like a mix between Voltron and Mega man. Nice music too. It should be on VC. People need to know about this game. Shake Shake Shake.

Yeah, I was curious and bought a cheap cart. I kind of like it. The level design is pretty original, and some of the stages have different goals then just reaching the end. The controls for grabbing (and shaking ^^ ) can be mediocre at times though. That becomes extra frustrating when fighting bosses, they are hard and take forever to beat.
That being said, Mischief Makers is charming and well worth playing.
I've heard very little about this N64 "classic", so I'm not quite sure what to think. Anybody wanna give me the rundown?

@V8: i rented it when it was new and played the ever-loving heck out of it. you play as Marina, the robotic maid of Professor Theo. He's kidnapped by the Evil Empire, and you've got to save him. It's a platformer where you run around grabbing, shaking, and/or throwing things around. The story is all right, but there's a twist toward the end that made things more interesting (IMO, anyway). :3

Awesome game. One of my Top 5 favourite platforming games of all time. Most of the game is fairly easy save one or two boss fights, but the most challenging aspect is achieving a perfect S Rank for every level. The music is top-notch as well, IMO.
I had it. It was good but short and easy. The controls weren't ideal, just alright and could have been much better. Underrated, yes. The game is worth playing, but by no means a "classic". Calling it a classic is overrating the game. More like an underappreciated, forgotten gem.
Never played it. I've seen the box before and thought it looked really lame, but ever since I heard Treasure made it I've been dying to play it! It should only be a matter of time before it hits the VC too, since it's Nintendo published and Treasure is an avid VC supporter.

this was my favorite game for the N64, treasure + Enix = STFU GTFO. i have tried to bring this game up in every "What game do you want to see on the virtual console" thread i have seen. Such a good freakin' game. i pray to all of the gods that someday this will be bequeathed upon the Wii's Virtual Console. now if you excuse me i have to go rest because when Aenaida posted those songs it made me remember how badass this game was/is/will always be.
Aye! I remember this game well - especially the music ("To1" and "Yujya!!" being my favourites). If I remember, it has a was a fairly challenging game, making you collect loads of crystals for a special ending. I never completed it, because it belonged to a relative.
I've been holding out for a VC version, but I might just seek it out for the N64 eventually.
