Topic: Ever Played Knuckles Chaotix?

I recently aquired the game and I'm actually enjoying it pretty well. It's almost as fun as the glassic Sonic games on Genesis. I'm not crazy about being tethered to a tag along but the music and Graphics are top notch.
I never owned a Sega 32X before so this is totally new to me. I remember seeing the game on store shelves when it was new but the 32X was dead before I even knew what it was. Was Knuckles Chaotix the only 32X game worth playing?

Nope.

Back in the 90's, it wasn't so easy to hear about games like that,.
I was a kid back then, so if I didn't hear on T.V., then I don't know about.

I was a kid back then too and I heard about it. Did you never go to the store and look at the videogames?

Oh, yes. Knuckles Chaotix is a really cool Sonic spinoff. And Doom for the 32X is also pretty cool. Of course it's not as good as the PC version but for a console game it's a lot of fun. I mean check it out on YouTube. Much better than the SNES version. And I like Space Harrier on the 32X. It's almost as good as the arcade version, way better then the Master System version.

Will we ever see some 32X games on the virtual console? I hope so.

I would totally buy Knuckles Chaotix if it ever came to VC! I doubt it ever will though.

That might be why I never had ALTTP.

I own it, but seldom play it anymore. Just not what I had hoped for.

Plain old gamer :)

cheetahman91

Yep. It's ok, but nowhere near as good as the 16-bit titles.

Yep, still own it quite enjoy it too, not as much as megadrive sonic but still fun, another fun 32X platform game is Tempo a bit on the short side but still an enjoyable cutesy Japanese platform game.

No, but now that I've got a 32X again, I've occansionally tried to find a cheap copy online. Unfortunately, no game stores in my area carry 32X games (yet, there is a place with Sega CD games, how fair is that?). It's one of the few console Sonic games that I don't own, and ever since I heard of its existence, I've wanted to try it.

Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

No I have not. But I would like to, seems like an interesting game.

But the only way I could see myself playing it is if it came to VC, because holy crap is the cartridge expensive (from what I've seen), plus I don't have a 32x.

.... or something like that.

madgear

It's not a bad game but it's not as good as the Megadrive Sonic titles and Sonic CD in my oppinion. I wouldn't say it's worth the high price tag, but it is a nice little title.

It wasn't the only good 32X game - Virtua Fighter, Virtua Racing, Kolibri and Metal Head were pretty decent if I recall. Never played Star Wars Arcade but heard it was pretty good. Some enhanced ports of Mortal Kombat 2 and NBA Jam were also available I believe.

Ark

Never played it, but I've wanted to for years. Just can't be bothered to track down the 32X attachment and a cartridge.

They ought to put this in the (inevitable) Sonic 20th anniversary collection, along with Sonic CD, and SegaSonic the Hedgehog (arcade game). I can dream right? D:

kevohki

I played it over my friend's house. It wasn't that good. Actually it was pretty terrible when compared to Sonic CD and Sonic and Knuckles.

Bland levels. No world or act has a certain "feel" to it, just all generic.
No speed. Too slow.
Stupid way to select which level you play (random select between the 5 worlds? no thanks)
Unremarkable music.

On the postitive side...
The characters and abilities are pretty sweet (except for the bomb and the robot)
Metal Sonic is pretty cool.
Best of all... the special stages.
All together, the worst 2d sonic I've played.

Tried it.
Couldn't stand it. There's like, no platforming, and very few enemies. The team play is a mess.
Wouldn't mind playing as the characters as individuals in other Sonic games though. Actually, aside from Espio, Heavy, and Bomb, I have done just that with Sonic 1. Vector's a cool guy.

I don't always give myself signatures, but when I do, you just read it.

Katernity

haven't played it in a very long time but it was one of 3 games I had for 32X and I remember enjoying it a lot back then!
