Okay so Probotector was phased out a many years ago but for many of us, our first introduction to the series was Probotector. Probotector was my very first NES game and if it hadn't been for the robots on the package, my parents wouldn't have thought to have got me it. Its because of that that I prefer the Probotector versions of the early games.

However I don't mind the series retaining its American titles and characters in new games.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

Well, not being European I can't really say I have any exposure to the series as Probotector, but I will say that Contra is a far less lame title.

Well I always imported games during the SNES era so I fondly remember the series as Contra.

Going waaaaay back I remember playing Contra under the name of Gryzor on the Speccy! Why so many names??!
