I still play my gamecube. I'm thinking about buying Skies of Arcadia Legends and Second Sight. Do you still play the gamecube? Which games do you recommend? There's a lot of gamecube games I never played.

Heh. I still play the gamecube. Have you played 007 Agent Under Fire? The controls and graphics are a tad dated but as far as i know it goes for cheap and the multiplayer is tons of old-school fun.
Turok Evolution. Same as Agent under fire but this one has probably the longest single player FPS campaign I've ever played with a lot of creative weapons with fun violence.
My open button is busted but I managed to hold it together with some weight

@lilman390 my Wii is broken too(and there's no repair for this one...) I only learned to take care of my Video Games when I turned 17(2 Years ago) by then it was too late.... the ones that didn't break were damaged and on the verge of breaking... except Game Boy Color that thing is unbreakable

GCN was like the peak of me playing games, so I've played my collection to death and I played a bit during the slower Wii days so it's gonna be a while before I care about playing GCN games again unless I find some used game somewhere. I'd like to get Skies of Arcadia. Pretty much that, Cubivore and Baten Kaitos are what I'm missing. Maybe rebuy stuff like Rogue Squadron sequels or something.

GCN was when getting multi-console stuff was easy (Wii U's problems by comparison is either the harshest point against Nintendo or 3rd party development costs) so I can recommend a lot.

top 10 must own: Metroid Prime, Wind Waker, Viewtiful Joe, Resident Evil 4, Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat, Smash Bros. Melee, Beyond Good and Evil, Kirby Air Ride, Super Monkey Ball 2, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4

I set up my Gamecube again last month, and now I just remembered that in November I was planning on marathoning a bunch of my Gamecube games. Even as a kid, I only managed to beat maybe 3 of my Gamecube games, and I got a bunch during the Wii's slower period...which for me was practically it's entire lifespan. I doubt I'd be able to get through all 57 of my games in a single month, but I'm hoping to get through at least a few, and play a bit of everything. Might save Skies of Arcadia for the end, though, so it can be my main game for December.

I have just bought Hudson Selection 2/3/4 for the Gamecube. For loads more than they originally cost in Japan (They were budget games. They are quite like the Hudson Wiiware games but just proper length like an oldschool game would be and the same kind of difficulty).

And Megaman X Collection for £40 (Playing Megaman X4 but having trouble finding a button config I get on with. Really don't like the Gamecube dpad or using the analog trigger for dash as it only activates when it clicks).

(The Region Free mod is really simple to do on an NTSC Wii that I just got. Don't really like using svideo but it is on a 4:3 CRT which is great for Virtual console or Gamecube). I wasn't going to get a japanese Wii as well. (I already have a PAL Wii and PAL Gamecube).

I want to get Alien Hominid.

(I have quite a few PAL Gamecube games that I got at the time but my tastes have changed quite a bit.)

That Hori gamecube controller that was designed for the Gameboy player costs a fortune. (I know that would be good for Megaman X). Not sure about another sensible option.

These are good : (Bought ages ago not recently though)

Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg
Gauntlet Dark Legacy
FZero GX
Mario Power Tennis
Warioware Mega Party Games
Skies of Arcadia Legends
Crazy Taxi
Sega Soccer Slam
Simpsons Hit and Run (Just because of how it is a parody of GTA we could do with a new one with modern technology)
Soul Calibur II
Wario World
Sonic Adventure 2 - Battle
Ikaruga
Paper Mario - Thousand Year Door

(There is something pretty good in pretty much all the genre's I like which is not really the case for the Wii or Wii U if you discount the virtual console).

@kkslider5552000 I had Skies of Arcadia on Dreamcast. It is so good. I would definitely recommend it! Come to think of it, I wouldn't mind getting the gamecube version myself...

Thanks for all of the suggestions. The gamecube game I want to play most is Skies of Arcadia Legends. My favorite game from my childhood is Soul Calibur 2. I played the game so much, I was able to beat my older brothers.

I used to play the GameCube a lot when I was younger, but nowadays the only time I use it is when I play Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games on it via the Game Boy Player adapter (since the Nintendo Wii can play GameCube discs), which is basically the sole reason to keep one as far as I'm concerned.

I still play my GameCube a bunch. Some of my favorites are: Luigi's Mansion, Mario Sunshine, Pikmin 1 + 2, SSBM, Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door and basically every other game. GameCube is still phenomenal!

The Wii, for GCN games that benefit from the extra visual throughput (Progressive Scan / Composite cables).

But Animal Crossing still plays best on the GameCube itself, and others too I'm sure.
DDR: Mario Mix is pretty fun on there.

I occasionally play Gamecube games on my Wii.

If you like RPGs I would recommend Baten Kaitos. It has an unconventional card-based battle system that is quite complex and fast paced, but is also very rewarding once you get into it. The game is beautiful looking and has a great soundtrack too.

I'm a big fan of Super Monkey Ball. Awesome little game.
