Hi, everybody! I have this N64 controller box and I've realized that there is an inconsistency in it. It reads “grey controller”, but the picture is that of a red controller. I have been searching the web and in every picture I find the text refers to the colour of the controller in the image. Do you have any idea why this is not the case in this box? Any opinion or information will be welcome.
I don't know, but I'd say it was a bootleg, or a small stock that was quickly corrected for the next batch (which would be easy considering how many people probably just overlook it without thinking).
Either way, any N64 controller not destroyed by Mario Party is a treasure

Thanks for the prompt response! Yes, now that you mention the possibility of a bootleg, it makes sense to me. I bought a Nintendo 64 that came with two controllers. On of them was grey and the other one was red, so I could not figure out to which one the box belonged. However, the red controller does not feel as tight as the grey one; so the red one may be a bootleg. I had not imagined the existence of these controllers. The box and the controller look as if they were original.
