Topic: Complete Japanese N64 games collection

Hello people! My name is Robert and live in the Netherlands. Since 1996 I have been collecting Japanese N64 games. Last year I completed this collection. There are 196 individual games, 198 if you count the rumble versions of Mario 64 and Waverace. As you can see in the pictures below some games came with big-boxes which included goodies like a controller, diverse paks for the controller, expansion pak and even a toy car! I don't own all the big-boxes but fortunately these games also came as normal boxes. On the last picture you can also see the before mentioned rumble versions of Mario 64 and Waverace.

Many congrats! As someone who wants to achieve this someday I know its not an easy thing to do so well done!

@Digital Wow, that's amazing, congratulations. How did you assemble your collection?

There is a recently started N64 thread, this should probably go in there.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

Congrats. Looks great. A great full collection

We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.

I think the only Japanese N64 games I have are a loose Mario 64 Rumble, and CIB Star Soldier: Vanishing Earth, Doraemon 1 Eltale Monsters, and Zool.
Forgot I have loose Sin & Punishment, Puzzle Bobble 64 and Puyo-Puyo 3 and 4, and the Chamelon Twists (I recall reading those had something different between JP and US versions).

I'd kill for those Zelda boxes and anything from Rare!

@Digital When I saw the title I thought: "Pictures or it is nonsense!" but not only did you provide the photos, your collection is even boxed! That is very impressive! Do you have a way to display them? I know space is always an issue for collectors, but I am always sad when I see collectors with awesome collections stored in boxes in a closet or basement only seeing the light of day a couple times a year...

Goodness. Daikatana. I just got PTSD flashbacks. Still that is fantastic! N64 was a gem of a system and there were a few games that we didn't get from Japan. Wonder Project J2 (which I just bought a few months ago) for one.

Wait. There was an Eva game? Ok going to google, brb.

So cool. Maybe not financially, but release-wise the N64 seems like one of the most feasible consoles to collect every game in a region from.

What Would W. Do?

Oh my god... how much did that cost!?

Nice >:]

I do stupid stuff on youtube.com/mysticbros, so check it out if your bored or whatever.
Or don't, it's your time after all.

Digital

Thanks for the nice replies everybody! Except it costed 22 years I really don't know the amount I spend. The current prices of boxed Japanese N64 games on Ebay vary from ~10$ (for some random baseball game) to 600+$ for Getter Love the dating game.

I'm glad I completed it, I know of only a handfull of people outside of Japan who own a similar Japanese collection. But everything is for sale if the price is right offcourse
