Topic: Cleaning Nes Games Affect Value???

hi, i wonder if the value of my nes game will be affect if i hand polish my cartridge and replace dead factory battery by new one with socket and solder it back?????

If you successfully replace the battery, maybe a little.
Cleaning the contacts, not really. While it will probably help you if you claim you tested it working before, many retro fans will probably give it another cleaning after they get it.

Not unless you wash the sticker off, I guess.

if you can replace a broken battery without breaking the game that would be a good plus.

one thing for me is nostalgia though. me and my bro used to ride our bikes to video cinema every weekend and rent nes games. sometimes when i find a used game with the video cinema sticker still on it brings back the memories, and i would never clean it off for myself.

i dont want my final fantasy and other nes game to loose value because i change the battery,for cleaning im not gonna clean the sticker only the pin

As long as the label is fine it should not hurt the value

So if I ever get a game I don't want I can just dunk in a current generation McBurger and sell it to you for an inflated price?
