Does anyone remember the Learning Company remakes of the Carmen Sandiego games, released in the late nineties? I played them almost to death!

Where in the USA is Carmen Sandiego was a great remake, except that they chose red socks for massachussetts, a checkered flag for Indiana, and the Cowboys' playbook for Texas. Could they be any stupider? She could've stolen the Alamo, but no. She had to advertise the most popular team at the time. She could've also stolen Indy Motor Speedway and Boston Harbor, but no.

Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego is a much better game, especially since you get all the major languages as you travel. The Chief from the series replaces the cartoons in these games. You do the usual globe-hopping until you arrest Carmen's minion, but you cannot let yourself run out of translating juice, or arrest the wrong person.

Where In Time is very different in that you're aided by a character, and it's done in a more point-and-click adventure style. You also go through every period of time in order rather than at random. What I found disappointing was that you have to help Yuri Gagarin into space (when it could've been Apollo 11).
