Problem is educational games won't sell anymore. Kids like participation, not thinking.
Well it just needs deeper plot, Something along the lines of the cartoon series would work. Yeah add that talking head guy and your educational quota should be filled. Look how well games like the Phoenix Wright visual novels been doing,
Yep. I still play it every now and then, but I don't think it would work on wiiware. Most kids nowadays frown upon educational games.[including me, but I think that Carmen Sandiego is more of a puzzle game.]
Just let it happen.

So ends a saga older than time itself. The World's oldest and fiercest army has been led to victory, and a lost generation is delivered from its fear of extinction. As the sun sets over the field of conflict the dinosaurs disperse, hoping never to set foot in this place a...
I still have the NES version. "Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego". Talk about an educational game. It came with a desk encyclopedia to use during the game. I do remember it being a lot of fun, will have to give it another try soon.

I loved Carmen Sandiego when I was a kid, I had the games, I watched the show, awesome theme song. But I just recently tried to play Where In The U.S.A. Is Carmen Sandiego, and I must say it wasn't quite as fun as I remember when i was a kid.
I remember playing the games back in elementary school back on a computer with a DOS operating system. I also had the one for the NES that came with the encyclopedia. I also remember that I was the first kid in my sixth grade class to capture Carmen Sandiego everyone skipped recess that day to watch me get her lol.
I also remember both tv shows the cartoon that was on FOX and the PBS gameshow one.
And I agree a Wiiware Carmen Sandiego would be awesome it would be one of the few Wiiware games I own.

If you guys want a new Carmen Sandiego-esque experience more in line with the traditional clue-following, I'd recommend Disney Guilty Party, which felt like Carmen Sandiego or Guess Who with mini-games. Lots of fun.
Hey, does anyone know what to do about the game text not being visible in the Windows 95/98 version of "Where in USA is CS" in Windows XP even though it worked before I had to reinstall Windows? Yes, I've tried reinstalling the game and setting compatability to Windows 95.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.
