Today I dropped my GBA SP and the entire top screen came off. It looks pretty damged, but I want to know if it is possible to get this fixed anywhere, or if I need to buy a new one.

Might could by a replacement top. They are really easy to disassemble and reassemble

The same happened to mine. Glue and lots of packing tape fixes it if at least one hinge is intact. Luckily my ribbon didnt get damaged, because it got exposed. its been like this for at least 8 months.

I would probably just go for buying another one. I am sure you can find one on eBay or some other retro game site, or a local thrift store.

Just recently I got one on ebay. Thanks for all of you that gave suggestions.
