Which games that you enjoyed from long ago simply haven't aged well, to me Doom hasn't aged well at all neither has the MD Doom clone Zero Tolerance.

Buster13

Super Smash Bros. (N64)

Don't get me wrong, it's still possible to have fun, but it's controls are a bit too clunky for me to deal with.

Also, I'm talking about the original N64 version, and it might just be the contollers aging.

To be honest, I don't think the original Super Mario Bros. has aged well. The controls just feel off now. Interestingly, it's much less of a problem with the GBC version.

I agree with Buster13 about SSB64. It used to be a LOT more fun than it is now.

That's about it, actually. Since I still have and play most of my old games, there aren't very many that could correctly be defined as "nostalgia" for me.

Super Smash Bros. (N64)- Still gonna download it, but the controls are clunky and not silky-smooth like Melee's.
Yoshi's Story (N64)- I used to love this game, but I've fogotten why. Probably because I was young
Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (N64)-See Yoshi's Story.

Lieutenant Commander of the Lesbian Love Brigade
There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

Dragon Spirit for TG-16, I used to be fanatical about dragons. Now that the wonder has worn off I was disappointed with the stiff controls when I DL'd the VC version.

Now playing:
(Wii - DJ Hero 2) (WiiWare / VC - -- / --)
(Game Cube - Second Sight) (DS / GBA - Eragon / --)
(Xbox360 - Burnout Paradise) (XBLA / XBIG - Puzzle Quest / --)

@OP
I still love playing Zero Tolerance on my Gen every now and again... But yeah, it doesn't age well. Too bad TechnoPop is dead, no VC Zero Tolerance...

Me too. Yikes, close call.

I think the DS game had come to my mind, but I promptly forgot when faced with the REAL question of this thread.

EDIT: Sorry to get off-topic, but I was wondering: How are you doing, Adam? Lasik go okay? I guess it must've if you're posting here again already.

Haha, yes, it went great. My eye is really red from a popped blood vessel, but that's normal. It looks cool anyway, like an eye scar.

I drove my car without glasses for the first time ever today. Word! Imagine this with a circle and a line through it: Not me!

By the way, RE: your Disgaea trophy patch warning, I'll probably just play DS until the patch comes out in case it doesn't let me ignore the patch like I do for Last Guy. Thanks for the warning. Do you know exactly when the patch is due out?

On the 16th, at 1am PST.

I like my glasses, mostly because of the transitional lenses, but also because I think I look better with them than without. Certainly, that's not true for everybody. I have a friend who switched to contacts a couple years ago, and she looks better without glasses. To each their own, yeah? If I DID want to not have glasses anymore, I'd pretty much be screwed anyway because there's no WAY I'm putting contacts in my eyes and I'd never be able to put myself through surgery like that either.

They give you Valium before. You'd be fine.

The thing about it is, if you wait long, you're a worse candidate, so it's best to do it while you're younger. If you don't, you might regret it later. I probably look a bit better with glasses, too, but it's one less thing to be concerned about now, and I now don't have many years of regular optometrist appointments to look forward to. Yay!

But okay, enough about my eyeballs. I just bring digressions with me wherever I go.

Mario RPG has aged pretty badly, nowhere near as much fun as I remember it being.

Cruisin' USA- I used to play this whenever it was in arcades and I had the 50c to spare. Now it looks horribly dated. The cars look like they're made out of paper and the people look like SNES sprites.
Super Off Road: the Baja- the graphics look awful and the animations aren't that great either. Can't wait til I can download the original Super Off Road. Now that's a classic!
Sonic Drift 2- used to play this so often, but now it's annoying not being forewarned about the oncoming turns.

Mortal Kombat games. I couldn't believed I even cried because my dog destroyed a stupid poster of sub zero I had <.<

Mario 64. Yeah it wasn't really as fun as I remembered

Say WHAT?!? That game hasn't aged badly at all. I would agree that most games (Mario RPG included) become somewhat less fun after multiple replays, though.
