Remember those good 'ol days when villains didnt just tell you there weakness: "Go, Gobblegut! Remember to protect your belly bulges!" Yeah. Who do you remember the most from the Nintendo classics? Personally, I think the Kremlings from DKC and all of the Kirby villains like Nightmare, DeDeDe, and Marx were terrific. What do you think?

Yeah. I wish they would give Marx back the spotlight, but hey. At least were getting Epic Yarn. The best thing ever would for him to be a secret boss in it, but thats like, 1/1000.

Hard to decide. I actually FORGET a lot of the villains from my youth... shame on me.
I don't know if it counts, since he has since turned into Bowser, but fighting Koopa from the first Super Mario Bros. was a nightmare as a first-time gamer. Of course, you can just take a lucky dash underneath him and grab that thingermabob and destroy the bridge, but to someone who doesn't know that, they were pushed into quite the corner. Especially the final Koopa fight with the flurry of hammers... actually, that still scares me to this day.
Anyone ever play Astyanax? The bosses in that game were so messed up. I wasn't totally fond of that game but for some reason I remember the bosses like the back of my hand.
I'm the lead designer and programmer at Three-Headed Dingo. We make adventure games for Steam, but I'm also quite the Nintendophile!
Dark Link in OoT. His ability to match Link blow for blow and so happen to have the same amount of health as Link was a bit of a twist. Had to creatively think up ways to strike him down.
