I don't know if you guys feel the same way, but I don't like the particular look of RE5; the graphics engine to be precise. It's like an awkward mix of a cheesy motion blur, overly organic flow of the visuals, and action-movie-like textures that look unnatural/ attempt for photorealism. It's like Capcom was attempting to blend photorealism with the looks of CG-drowned action movies. I don't know, I'm being very specific about the way the game moves. Maybe it's just the motion blur and odd looking textures. I liked the grittier, photorealistic look of Resident Evil for Gamecube. The same looks of RE5 are going onto Revelations. Not sure if you guys understand what I'm saying though

@bobbikat I totally get what you mean. RE5 in general doesn't sit well with me, but you know they'll stick with that look for now. As long as the gameplay goes back to the scares and puzzles I can definitely deal with the look. The locales of Revelations interest me infinitely more than RE5.

I never understood Resident Evil. I mean it has nothing to do with residents or anything being centered around evil. Heck they never even mention the word evil or the number after the word 'Evil' in the title. Resident Evil 4 had nothing to do with the number 4.

So fricken' confusing.

Just for you.

Well, the first Resident Evil takes place at the Spencer RESIDENCE, who's also EVIL

Anyway, "Biohazard" is its original name as it came from Japan, but Capcom had a some issues that forced them to rename it when they sold it in the U.S. (copyright disputes with a band with the name). So they just chose "Resident Evil." If you can guess, the virus broke out in the mansion and everybody turns into zombies.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that it's in the U.S. that Capcom had to change the name; the original name is still used in Japan.

I didn't know where else to post, but according to IGN, there aren't any zombies in Revelations. There goes a hint of nostalgia to spice up my experience with this game

Anyway, there still seems to be interesting enemies (I didn't read the whole article so I don't spoil the story for myself).
