Topic: Baten Kaitos/Baten Kaitos Origins

It needs more love.

To summarise: card-based RPG for the Gamecube, of which the first game has narmy voice acting. A fantastic game with an excellent length and plot; the music is spectacular and the second game's lack of availability in this country is... irritating.. As well as having a plot which doesn't blow chunks, it has a decent amount of difficulty and I think I'll be quiet now so that I stop annoying everyone who's reading this doesn't begin to get scared of this and myself by extension.

It's just a pity that the DS game isn't likely to be released. Anyhow; I didn't find a topic to discuss the game, therefore I created one. Hopefully I don't scare everyone off with the fact that I'm clearly a massive fan of the games~

I love this game as well. They really made the card battle system work well in this game. The voice acting annoys me a bit, but everything else is just fantastic. The first one has so much length too. Glad this topic is here. This game does deserve more love. You're right.

If it wasn't for the ad in the back of my Tales of Symphonia game manual I would have never played Baten Kaitos when it was released. Best $50 I've ever spent.

I have always wanted to try this game. Could never find it at the store and I always have bad luck buying used off eBay and Amazon.

I actually found it at a Game Crazy for $12. I was amazed after I played the game that it was so cheap. I definitely would have paid $50 or more for this game.

I found it at gamestop for like 10 dollars lol so I bought it and I love everything about the system it uses. I dislike how robotic the voice acting sounds and how hard it is to pull off good card combos... seriously I just use regular attacks over and over again lol

It gets easier to pull off good card combos, but is much easier depending on how you set up your deck. Stick with one or two themes.

I enjoyed the combata nd well-done graphics but never finished the game due to the average story and atrocious voice acting. Also, I got lost in the dungeon. I tired revisiting it this summer but I couldn't get very far once again (lost interest.) For those interested, I might sell my copy in the near future.

I have Baten Kaitos, I'd love to be able to play it, but my memory card has ceased to function of late D:

Oh yeah. I've wanted to get the first one ever since it came out, but for some reason never got around to it. I almost bought a copy a couple weeks ago at Buybacks, but I was short on funds at the time and had to put it back.

Did you get one of those non Nintendo brand memory cards that have 10 memory cards in one? I have heard people are having many problems with them
