Ah, AVGN. If I had to pick, I think I'd say that the "Fred Fuchs" moment and the rant at the end of the CD-i trilogy were my favorite moments, but there are so many hilarious things to choose from.
I can't believe they could produce a hillbilly accent with such primitive hardware.
I love the part where he tries a headset which can be used to blow up enemies in a flight simulator game by shouting the word fire. The funny part, however, is when he starts using "his own vocabulary" which turns out to work just as well. And who could forget the episode wherein he, to no avail, tries to put all the Legend of Zelda games in chronological order.
I'm really looking forward to the 100th episode, I wonder what game the episode will be about. I guess they've got something special in store for us.
For all around good-quality game reviewing, my favorite(s) would be the Castlevania retrospective. I still rewatch that sometimes...it's extremely well done.
For absolute funniest, my favorite would probably be Plumbers Don't Wear Ties, which made me genuinely hurt with laughter the first time I saw it.
Of course, I also enjoy the episodes in which he manages to balance informativeness with humor, such as Super Pitfall and Action 52. He's always a fun watch.

I loved that one as well, but I think most of the fun comes from allround cheesiness and weirdness of the game rather than just the nerd's humour. It's a game so bad and weird it doesn't require a nerd treatment. The nerd treatment just makes it even funnier to watch
Well, personally I'm referring to the AVGN's jokes and skits at the game's expense (such as the brilliant closing sequence to his review). But yeah, the game would certainly elicit enough laughter as straight gameplay footage.
My favorite AVGN is the Glitch episode, with that crazy "Glitch Gremlin". Another one of my favorites is The Wizzard and SMB3, because of that epicly-awesome battle at the end.

My all-time favorite AVGN vid is probably a tie between TMNT (because everything he said was so frickin' true! hated that game as a kid, haha) and the Friday the 13th Halloween vid (i just love that one for some reason :3). Runners up include Plumbers Don't Wear Ties, Spiderman, and the Ninja Gaiden outtake video (if that counts).
@Jaw51: lol that Fred Fuchs moment was hilarious. I also enjoyed the LJN Rainbow of Death revelation... after that point, i started noticing the regularity with which that thing showed up on games he's skewered over the years, haha.

My favorite episode is a tie between Ghostbusters, Godzilla, and Plumbers Don't Wear Ties. However, since I discovered the Nostalgia Critic, I've been much less enthusiastic about the nerd. Ironically, the AVGN was the person that introduced me to the Nostalgia Critic

The NES Accessories has to be my favorite. The stupid crap Nintendo thought would sell in the 80's is mind-boggling today. The Battletoads and Dick Tracy episodes are up there as well.
