The new Atari Flashback plug-n-play system is more or less a slight improvement than a full sequel to the earlier Flashback 2.0. Sorry, there is still no cartiage slot, but atleast there are two buttons for selecting the difficulty like the ancient "heavy sixers" had. That's good news.
Anyways, it will still come with 2 authentic joysticks. It will include 40 games, but sadly the Activison games are gone. Most of the freshly added titles are sports games. And yes the same mediocre homebrew games are back, but hopefully, Pong will work this time! I don't know why they can't include the orginal Asteroids and Berzerk?
Well, if you pre-order from this link they will give a free T-shirt too! One of these little puppies will set you back about $30.00.

I wonder if Curt Vendel was also involved with this one.
Speaking of Curt, I use to talk to him back when he owned Microprose Systems and was trying to get the Microprose MPI-500PT CECB going and got canned by the NTIA. I think it was for joining with the CBA and promoting analog passthrough.

That's a shame. Forget the cart slot, why not an SD slot to read whatever ROMs you like (the non-copyright infringement application would be to run Homebrew)? I'd actually buy it then, but as-is I'd rather just play with Stella.

Yes, Curt was involved in Flashback 2.0+. Atari contacted him for Flashback 2.0+. The sales of Flashback 2.0+ will determine if there will be Flashback 3. Curt has plans of a Flashback 3 if it happens.
