... Regarding the history of Nintendo?

I just picked up Super Mario: How Nintendo conquered America and I've been reading it non stop for days. Really good documentation of Nintendo's birth, its rise and fall (though when it did fall from time to time, it certainly got back up.), it's battle with Sega, It's mistake that caused the Playstation to happen. My favorite story is their first legal battle against Universal Studios regarding the rights to Donkey Kong, EPIC. Either way, anyone read any other good books regarding Nintendo or video games in general? Anyone read this one? Also, this is my first post ever so, hello.

Nah, I don't have all that much interest in Nintendo with the exception of games and hardware.

However, I would love to own The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia. I love the Zelda franchise.

Looking forward to: No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again

Yeah. I live in Australia so I would need to import it too.

It's not specific to Nintendo, but I read All Your Base Are Belong to Us. It takes you through the history of video games, and the way the guy writes about games sometimes, it makes me wonder if I've ever experienced video games as immersively as the author seemed to.

Read that one too a few weeks ago, and it was really great. If you liked that one, check out Jacked by David Kushner. It chronicles the rise Rockstar Games, GTA, the Houser brothers, and everything that accompanied those things up to the release of GTAIV. You can check out a passage from the book here, but both the passage and (maybe) the site has some explicit content on it.

Exactly.

Ryno

I read my Nintendo Power magazines for all the lastest on the NES and SNES. Nester has all the bodacious tips that I cannot find anywhere else unless I call the help hotline but I don't have my parent's permisssion to spend .75 cents a minute for that.

Well, I've got The History of Nintendo: 1889-1980 by Gorges and Yamazaki, as well as the second Volume (which talks about the Game & Watch). Both of these books are fantastic, and you can get them at http://www.pixnlovepublishing.com/

Oh, and like everyone else, I can't wait for the Hyrule Historia!

I have a ton of other books...but I'll have to dig 'em out to see what I've got.
