Topic: Anybody here fans of the Mega man Zero series?

!!! I would have love to known I could deflect the fireballs earlier. There not that hard to dodge in general, but it would have been easier to just do that. I hate Cubit Foxtar. Until I figured out hot to dodge that attack where the fire balls spread across the screen and circle around once I would always die to her. Oh well. I finally made it to the very final boss.

I managed to S rank every stage but the final one. That boss rush is brutal.
You have to get through all 8 main bosses and then the final 3 and you're only allowed 6 units of damage.
Basically you need to know each boss soo well that you barely take any hits.
Not to mention never taking a hit in the stage before reaching the boss gauntlet.
Now that's insane!

@Link79 Dang, that sounds near impossible. I've had to retry so many times I've memorized a lot of the bosses' patterns pretty well. The only ones that will probably hurt me are that death Mantis guy and The electric eel guy. Oh, and Cubit Foxtar. I can probably make it to the stage before the bosses with no hits too. No way I could ever beat Zero in under 6 hits though. I'll probably pull my hair out in frustration if I ever tried. Awesome job on S ranking all the stages before that though!

Thanks! I probably never would have done it without those youtube videos though. They really helped alot.
I bet I could do the final stage if I practiced enough. I just have alot of trouble anticipating what moves the bosses will do.
The worst ones for me are Cubit Foxtar, Hellbat and that blazin flizzard guy.
Their attacks are so annoying and hard to predict. I came close a couple times but I always take too many hits for the S rank.
After about 20 do overs I feel like breaking something.

@Link79 Hellbat was the first boss I beat. A small tip: when he floats down to the ground he's either going to do an attack where he flaps his wings and sends out electrical balls at you. Easy way to dodge is to just stay on the highest part of the wall. I'm sure there's a better way though. Second thing he'll do is release a bunch of little bats at you. I can dodge it by jumping on to a certain section of the wall. It's usually near the bottom. When he releases a bunch of little ovals that go across the screen just go to a corner and jump over the remaining ones coming at you. That probably won't help much, but hope it does something for you. XD
Good luck with beating the boss rush mode. I understand getting frustrated. So far I only have 1 bar of health when ever I make it to Zero. So he kills me with one shot. It's really annoying.

Thanks for the tips. I'll try and see if that helps.
Luckily I do have the ultimate shoes for Zero so I can dash through things without taking damage.
That makes it a little easier. If you have the burst shot EX skill and the ultima shoes it really helps with the final zero fight.
Just equip the flame chip, dash through him then turn around real quick and burn his with a charged shot.
That does a ton of Damage to him. He'll go down after about 4 shots of that.
If you aren't going for EX skills you could also just try the normal charged buster.
You don't want to use the Saber for that fight. it's better to stay back and keep your distance.
Getting up in his face will get you killed pretty quick.

That break in attempt you had must've gave you the hebe Jebes. One time I was right across the street from a drug store while they were being robbed. I could see the guy pointing a gun at the clerk and I ran to a payphone to call the cops. Because of my quick action they caught that jerk and the day was saved.
I sorta felt like a hero that day.

Anyway glad you're liking Zero 2.
Oh btw I'm currently playing A boy and his blob also.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try it out when I finally make it to him again. I assumed slashing at him would get me killed since the first 2 times I tried that I died in under a minute.

MMZC is one of my favorite DS retail games along with Retro Game Challenge and Bowser's Inside Story.

I finally beat Zero 3! What a great game.

I love the Zero series...even though I never played a single zero game . I have Megaman ZX and I love it. I like all of the biometals, but model ZX is my favorite ... and ZX was my first Megaman game .

MegaMan Zero 1 is by far the worst "MegaMan" game I have ever played and in my top 5 of the worst games ever. The series get better as it goes along but never even comes close to being as good as the main MegaMan X series.

I could rant for quite awhile on why these games suck. Seriously can't recommend these to anyone.

Bull, good sir. These games are very high-quality and, in my personal opinion, BETTER than the X series due to having a higher quality standard overall. The X series varied in quality while each Zero game were all very good on their own merits. The first Zero game was more like an RPG than the others, due to having to grind for energy crystals and weapon experience. As the series went along they become more action-packed and thrilling.
I'd recommend the series for anyone willing to challenge themselves highly and have a lot of fun with the character Zero and the great story that the series follows (which the X series also got convuluted in towards the end).

The Zero series is my personal favorite and I HIGHLY recommend anyone with a DS to buy the Zero Collection. It may be light on extras, but it's 4 amazing games in one single cartridge

P.S. @Shadowflash the ZX series are very good games, and a good indicator of the Zero series quality, but the Zero series is, as a whole, better in terms of tighter and focused gameplay. Trust me on this one. I also didn't really like the HUB world and annoying map in ZX, but ZX Advent fixed those and is much better for it (even if it is more difficult )

I really only put myself through the torture cause I don't like loose ends.
There was stuff to be unlocked and come hell or high water I was gonna do it.
I was very close to giving up though. Probably wasn't worth all the stress but at least I can say I did it.
