DK Country is great, DK 64 is good, but DK Jungle Beat is amazing. I didn't care for the original GC version (I thought the Bongos were really loud and annoying), but the NPC version is fantastic. It's the only DK game that didn't feel like a traditional platformer. It has it's own character and style, and really unique gameplay. Am I the only one who feels this way?

No, I think so too. It's best with bongos though. I wish I'd kept my original copy.

Never got to play it with the bongos, but the NPC is great. The game is an 8/10 for me. It would be a 9/10 except for the stupid, stuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuupid sound FX that accompany DK. All the just gorilla noises he makes just sound like some American impersonationg a Gorilla (well, thats what it is probably) and it just spoils an other wise great game, I cringe every time DK goes "Wah-hey!" I just want to punch him. Why couldnt they just use real gorilla samples?

Thats just nit-picking though, the game is fantastic. Love the boss battles.

I gave the game a 9/10. I actually found the sound effects hillarious. I love the "Wah-hey!"

I enjoyed it a lot but to say its better than DK Country 2 is a big NO for me. Sorry guys. I LOVE the DK Country series.

I've only played the first DK country. I'll have to check out the second one.

The second one is the best one in my opinion.
