Topic: A good store/website to buy retro videogames?

Does anybody know of one?
Particularly games for the SNES and N64, my first consoles.

It's too difficult to out bid experienced eBayer's, and everything on Amazon is so overpriced....

I think digihoard.com carry some good retro games.

I've been browsing eBay for my future RetroN3, and they're got a great selection.

If you got a Japanese-compatible system...Jap-Sai. I heard they sell games that are in excellent condition...

Lot's of collectors items too.

VC has it's benefits (convenience, for one) but there are a ton of games that are not on the service and probably never will be. As for good places to buy retro games, Movie Trading Company (also known as Vintage Stock) has some pretty good prices sometimes, and it wouldn't hurt to check out local thrift stores like Goodwill. You can find some good stuff for cheap if you happen in at the right time. Of course this is all assuming you live in America

Play N' Trade usually has great retro games like Chrono Trigger and Earthbound.

It can vary wildly as I hear stores are individually owned and operated.
The one near me had almost nothing but sports games for SNES.

I think the author of this thread was asking where they could get the actual cartridge rather than the VC emulation.

The problem is when they say the box/instructions "may" be included. That's an important distinction when deciding whether to buy or not.

If you're ever in the capital district of New York, stop by Jay Street Video Games, they have a great selection. I've gone there more often than Gamestop this year.

There's an amazing store called Game Junkie just outside the Philadelphia border. It's literally a treasure trove of games: from Intellivision to 3DS. And they've got a lot of selection for each system, too.

Unfortunately, their service is a bit slow and their prices are aren't the lowest you see (they have one copy of Earthbound, for $100).

I love how everyone is answering his question 2 years after he posted it. I don't think he even frequents the forums anymore

I think this is just a general store-suggestion thread now.

One person bumped it, and nobody else checked the date.
