So you've played video games before you've ever watched a movie, TV show, or Turned on the radio?
No I just hated any type of music before videogame music got me going, now I listen to J-Pop and Video game music

For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
Need for Speed Underground introduced me to... whatever that music in NFSU is. I blankly stared for a whole 20 minutes and then uninstalled Need For Speed Underground.

Well, in certain ways Castlevania games introduced me to melodic metal, even though the games don't actually have metal music in them. The atmosphere in some melodic BM songs is however very similar to these games.

I promptly turned off almost all of the songs on the soundtrack to NFSU2 after hearing the crap they decided to choose for the music.
I didn't know what Techno was when I played Streets of Rage. Wipeout got me to check out what kind of music it was.
lol I see. It's more synthetic Dance but that's where the idea comes from. Apparently (from experience), many people I know love SoR for its soundtrack and ironically 90's Europe was obsessed with Techno/Dance music...so there maybe a connection.
Anyway, recently getting into OutRun music (based off a real band for the time dedicated to SEGA games).
Any theme on the NES introduced me to 8-Bit music, of course. This was before video game-y sounds were incorporated into mainstream music. Now, I think it's safe to consider "8-Bit" an accepted form of music genre (at least on YouTube).
Bros starting to listen to chiptunes, check out 8bitpeoples.com. It's all free there (and legal, so, bonus!), not to mention how much there is, and how much amazing chiptunes there are. Not to mention most of the Bit. Trip special guests songs are there too.
