I-U

1) Getting the Nintendo DS for Christmas in 2004
2) Metroid Prime Hunters 100% run (scans and items) in 1 hour 38 minutes
3) Getting the mansion paid off in Animal Crossing Wild World
4) Completing Super Mario 64 DS at around 5 or 6 hours during one day
5) Growing around 300 flowers in Chibi Robo Park Patrol during a single sitting
6) Competing with my little brother in Mario Kart DS
7) Doing over 200 sit "blow" ups in WarioWare Touched! (microgame name slips me at the moment)
8) Seeing Samus for the first time at the end of Metroid Prime Hunters
9) The reveal of the Ocean King at the end of Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass
10) Francois' "no strings" story moment in Chibi Robo Park Patrol

The top 4 are set. The rest are off the top of my head, and there are a few others that I could replace 5-10 with.

When I saw this quoted it made me a little mad, as I wanted this to be one thread with no (fake) trolling. But then...your avatar.

Also I can't do 10 right now, but 1 is easily midnight on March 9th, 2008. That was when I got Brawl, by the way.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

Hmmm, may come up with a few now and a few later as I think of them. Think I'll do this more chronologically.
1. Getting the NES in October of 1987, while on vacation in Oklahoma. Got Gyromite, Duck Hunt, Donkey Kong Jr., Baseball, and M.U.S.C.L.E. with it. To say I was blown away would put it mildly. My only console experiences had been with the Vectrex, Intellivision, and Atari 2600 at the time. NES was light years ahead of them in every way, and I became a Nintendo fan for life!
2. Getting The Legend of Zelda in January 1988. The cartridge was friggin GOLDEN, the game was the best one I'd ever played. Need I say more?
3. Beating The Legend of Zelda, my first game to really "finish", like in late January. I remember because it was around the time my Broncos played in their second straight Super Bowl, against Washington (which went worse than it did the previous year). No way to explain the buildup to the fight with Ganon in my mind. And beating him, one of my most satisfying gaming experiences to this day! Then, time for getting my little butt kicked in the second quest.
4. The long, painful wait for Super Mario Bros. 2, and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, which came out around the same time (and were often delayed). Such a very, very difficult wait. But, worth it in the end! Got the last copy of Zelda II available at, of all places, a place called Wild Willy's that primarily rented games and was pretty much out in the boon docks! Have to say they were efficient, though. They got copies when there was a major shortfall in the first Zelda II shipments, because of a chip shortage.
5. Getting the Super NES in March of 1992, while I was in foster care (long, boring story). At the time, I'd not played video games in well over a year (no, I wasn't in Juvie or anything). I was so out of touch with video games when the SNES came out in late '91 that I didn't know it was out until I heard friends talking about how amazing Super Mario World was! Anyway, my grandparents took it to me at the foster home (and they were kind enough to let me play it). There was, of course, Super Mario World with the system, and Drakkhen (don't care about criticisms, I love it) that they also got me. Every bit as awe-inspiring for me as the NES was. Especially as long as it had been since I'd played video games. Damn, that was a great gaming year. Those two, Super Castlevania IV, Gradius III, TLoZ: A Link to the Past, Contra III, Super Scope 6, Street Fighter II, Mario Paint, Super Mario Kart, Final Fantasy II/IV, Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest (again, don't care... I love it).
6. Actually, I'm going to make Final Fantasy II/IV a separate entry, because it was my first Final Fantasy experience and it was unforgettable! Really started out the wrong way. I rented it September '92, and there was a file already there inside Lunar Subterrain at the save point right before Zeromus. So, wound up playing the game at the end! Kept getting my rear kicked, and finally decided it'd be best if I start from jump street anyway! So, wound up keeping it for several rentals until I finished it. A lifelong Final Fantasy fan was born during that extended rental. Whatever Squeenix may do to mess up the franchise sometimes, LOL. Then, Mystic Quest came like a month later. Not Final Fantasy II/IV, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it!

Dats all I gots right nows. I have to give the rest more thought.

@Swiket
I'll forgive you for that diss of Nintendo THIS TIME, since you have an avatar of Christian Bale in "American Psycho" (one of my favs).

There are more Nintendo consoles than the Wii ya know.
Don't get me wrong, I love the Wii. But you aren't required to love the Wii to be a Nintendo fan.

I don't always give myself signatures, but when I do, you just read it.

Give them a break. Where else are they going to go? Totalplaystation.com? LOL! Nope!

We're all staying right here.

1) Playing Smash Bros. for the first time and how cool it was to see Kirby and Pikachu in the same game

2) Getting my SNES in christmas of 1996. Then, my father and I went to Toys R Us to get something for my brother- turns out my brother got the "better" present instead of me. But I still remember how I enjoyed my SNES nonoftheless- then I moved on to Sega Dreamcast in 1999.

3) Getting Pokemon Gold. I remember being so excited that day, it was crazy- i could not wait to get it after school. Kept looking at the TV in the classroom "October 14th 2000" and was just wanting school to be over. Come home, gave the money to my mom to get it for me (my brother did the same for Silver) and completed my homework so I can spend glorius time with the game. Remember waking up extra early to play the game with the light-magnifying glass attachment to my GBC lol Love it.

4)Everyone getting Pokemon Pinball for christmas. That was just awesome lol Me, my bro and my two nieces got it. And even my sister was hooked on playing that game.

5) Playing Kirby Super Star with my brother everyday. We could not stop paying that game.

6) Hating Donkey Kong Country 3. I hated the game lol Would not stop complaining about it... and i remember my brother throwing this flat foam head we got from the theaters when getting back from watching Free Wily and how my niece was terrified of it for some reason (it's a simple profile from the side of a man- all yellow, nothing scary about that but it was hilarious). Oh, and that day I saw Starfox 64 for the first time before we went to the movies.

7) Getting Super Mario Kart unexpectedly when my brother wanted to get Mario Kart 64- ha!

8) Seeing my mom and brother-in law walk in with this huge box- behold, Earthbound! Got it in my pre-school year and remember not knowing what to do... Things and events I associate with this game: Going to Chuck E. Cheese. Going to church. And playing the living hell outta this game when I got chicken pocks and stayed home. Glorious.

9) The horrible wait for Smash Bros. Brawl. I even bought Harvest Moon 64 the day before Brawl came out because I was so bored and excited and nothing would pass the time. The Dojo updates were a major tease. Always woke up in the early morning before school to see what's up. When I saw Sonic, I did scream a bit, I admit. Looking back, the updates were so annoying in the way info came out but I cannot lie- it was enjoyable.

10) Nintendo 64. So many fond memories. I miss the local play in games that some are moving away from. Bomberman 64 with my bro and niece, even Duke Nukem 64- we had so much fun playing and the list of games and moments don't even stop there.

KarrotMan

10) Mario Kart DS with friends. Whether you race, battle, whatever, it was pure fun.
9) Ocarina of time. I only played the 3DS version and it would have made a greater impact if I played it when I was younger.
8) Trying my best to beat Super mario land way back yet failed. Came back years later and finally beat it in one sitting. came for the game, but stayed for the credits music.
7) Metroidvania styled Castlevania games for the GBA/DS. They tried to emulate the feel of SotN and succeeded while maintaining an identity of their own. I love games where you are tasked to explore and figure out things for yourself while fighting a battalion of demons.
6) The Cape in Super Mario World. One of the best power-ups in the game but not as good as...
5) Yoshi, nuff said.
4) Resident Evil 4 was supposedly a Gamecube exclusive right? Then, My favorite moment was when I was caught off guard when that Chainsaw wielding villager decapitated me. It was Brutal, shocking and most importantly, it was one of the most memorable moments in the game.
3) Owning every generation of Nintendo's handhelds. GB, GBA, DS, 3DS, These little guys knew how to keep a guy company throughout the years and delivered one of the most engaging libraries of games. I'm sure the 3DS will follow.
2) Receiving Pokemon Blue. Back then, I was really into Pokemon, and so were many other kids, just because of this game. It was an overwhelming experience, being on your own and having a big adventure into the region. The concept of collecting monsters was really addicting and alot of the pokemon were awesome. Sadly, that was the only pokemon game I played, skipped the rest of the series but now that I have a 3DS, bring on the gen 6.
1) Fighting Giant Baby Bowser in Yohsi's island and watching the credits as the Stork brings Mario and Luigi home. I was a kid that time and beating a game that I was really attached to really brought tears down my face. A brilliant game overall.

10: After Rehearsals: As an actor, whenever I had rehearsals for my own plays, I had them at my house.Everytime we finished early, my friends and I just played video games for the rest of the time. Mostly Brawl and New Super Mario Bros.

9: Getting my Nintendo Wii: This was the first console that I had gotten after several years and led me to becoming a massive gamer.

8: Hating Dragon Ball Z Sagas: I hate this game with a passion and my brother and I had to play this game and we hated every last second of it.

7: Getting the SP with Ruby and Saphire: So I had come home from school on day when I was in I think 3rd or 4th grade to see my brother playing a Gameboy Advance SP with Pokemon Ruby. I was sad that I didn't have one until my mom brought out a blue SP with Pokemon Saphire. I love y parents for things like that.

6: Philidelphia and Kirby: Whenever I went to Philidelphia to watch the University of Penn play, I had always ordered the game room service where you could play an hour of N64 games for like $6. I would always play Kirby 64 every time I wen there and it became my definitive game for Philidelphia.

5: Gamecube Debate: When my brother and I were saving up for a Gaecube, we argued for months about what game ot get first; Luigi's Mansion or Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. After a long debate, we decided to get Luigi's Mansion, but it was quickly followed up with Sonic Adventure 2 Battle.

4) Lost Gameboy: I was a little kid when I went onto an airplane with Wario Land 3 and a Gameboy Color. They never left that flight. I cried for days after I lost them

3) 2010: 2010 had some of the best games ever released and set a very high quality for most games in my opinion. As of now, most of my favorite games were released in 2010.

2) Video Game Parties: I always went over to a friend's birthday party where he had a whole bunch of video games and we would play them for the entire night. That's how I was introduced to Super MArio Galaxy, the Wii, Mario Kart Wii, and a hell of a lot of Nintendo Power backissues.

1) Waiting for Banjo Tooie: So when I was in kindergarten, by brother went off to school and he told me not to mess with the game tht he was playing. He started to play Banjo Tooie in the morning and forbade me from touching it. So I waited for the entire day for him to get home just so that he could play the game and keep going. I will never forget that.

Lol, I actually wasn't really referring to disliking the Wii. I don't even really like the Wii that much. I meant more like list actual moments you like about Nintendo rather than simply doing the "Wii sucks" thing for the billionth time.

The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.
