Pretty sure it's more like -$110,000 at this point. I saw an Ouya at my local Target about 6 months ago. I took a pen and put a tiny dot on the corner of the area where the barcode is; for science.

That Ouya is still there, ink dot and all.
Letting your curiousity get the better of you, I like how you think.
Why would Nintendo buy that piece of crap? It would be the biggest waste of money I've seen from Nintendo. Hell, the Wii U is more popular than that thing.

The people behind it didn't understand the sheer amount of work, time, and money it would take to keep even a tiny device like this alive, and found themselves in over their heads.
I never saw the appeal, personally: why would anyone want to play mobile games on a TV? Most mobile games are barely even worth the trouble of playing on mobile devices.
And if it was a piracy thing, well... that's not very hard at all to pull off on a PC these days.
Towerfall! gets a memo Oh, I see. Why did the Ouya exist again?
To take your money, you silly head!

I would wonder what the hell Nintendo were thinking. Fact is, the Ouya has nothing to offer. There are no interesting games, otherwise the thing may have actually sold more than a few units. The hardware is nothing special, it plays Android games on a TV screen like many other such systems. The brand itself is worthless, with bad marketing and a level of respect of roughly zero.
^^ yes that would be an exact expression of what Nintendo would be doing IF they bought OUYA. Alas, the article doesn't mention Nintendo whatsoever in any capacity. So my reaction: You better not Nintendo. It's okay on April 1st but not any other day.
