i have only seen gameplay footage that takes place in levels with the Disney Princesses.....not something i would be excited for yet (but then again, i don't have a PSP)
This is the first time I've seen some actual gameplay and the game looks AWESOME! Can't wait!! BTW,what are those blue things? They don't look like heartless...

I don't know about the rest of you, but after playing through KH 1, 2, COM and Re;COM, I'm A) Still really into the overall storyline and gameplay B) Tired as hell of the Disney parts though C) Annoyed that all the sequels seem to be between 1 and 2 instead of being 3.
Also, I think BIRTH BY SLEEP is a rather giveaway title, especially given the last lines of the first vid posted here. POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR KH2 Roxas wants to/will be erased in order for Sora to have true existance again.

@Smileoscar-Those blue things are creatures called the Unbirth. All I know about them is that they have some connection to the Heartless and Nobodies. Birth by Sleep does not have Heartless and Nobodies, just the Unbirth.
@Objection Blaster- I personally love the concept of the side story games. There are some plot-related mysteries that will be solved through these games. Oh, and the boy in Birth by Sleep is NOT Roxas, but a new character called Ven.
I cant wait too. You also may take a small notice of PSN is droppin a new service Oct 1st that is called PSP Minis. Its a dlc store for your PSP with 15 games at launch and 50 by years end. Yeah good times are ahead for PSP.

Are there any crappy "card playing" antics in this game? Any game that has ANY reference to "card-based" this or that is an instant no-buy for me.
The game is not card-based, but it takes some gameplay ideas from Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, according to this quote from Wikipedia.
Birth by Sleep is an action role-playing game, its battle system is an overhaul of that from previous Kingdom Hearts games and slightly resembles that of Re:Chain of Memories. The game allows players to customize their "deck" by choosing which techniques and abilities to display.
I wonder what kind of connection Ven and Roxas have because I don't think SE made them both look EXACTLY alike. BTW, I wonder who's gonna be the bad guy in the "Lilo & Stitch world",maybe that giant grey guy from the cartoon?
