Probably the end credits in Super Mario 64. It really gave me a sense of accomplishment, and hope for some reason as a kid.

When I was at the top of the cylinder hangar in Colony 9 in Xenoblade Chronicles. I saw the lake below and thought, "Oh, what the heck? Might as well test it. It'll probably just show me fall to my death and then I'll respawn back at the top, but it won't hurt to try it." I ran forward, pressed B, and jumped expecting to respawn 2 seconds later. But wait, what was this?! It showed me falling! I kept on going. And I kept on going! Next thing you know I hit the water and then set the controller down on the table beside me. I took a deep breath and realized, "This game is going to be huge and epic. I have no regrets spending that $80." And I wasn't wrong. I did underestimate how huge and epic it was going to be, though.

(1)Getting a star from a Yoshi/Birdo egg in first place in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, especially if a blue shell or lightning hits while you're invincible; (2) evading a red shell or even a blue shell using a mini-turbo
