Screw you.

I don't really have any series I follow anymore. I used to be really into Samurai Showdown, Final Fantasy, and Resident Evil, but those series' best days are far behind them. my pants.

Super Mario World, always.

For series, I'd probably go with the Shin Megami Tensei series. There's a lot of really good games there, and they're pretty varied too. Smash Bros. has always been my favorite when it comes to local multiplayer stuff.

Favorite game: Portal 2 (No contest here at all)
Favorite Series: Tough one, so I will name three (In No particular order). Assassin's Creed, Legend of Zelda, and Final Fantasy.
At first I had ignored the Final Fantasy series, but after I fell in love with the music in Theatrhythm I began playing every game i could get my hands on. Ovrall, amazing.
Assassin's Creed is a series that would usually be off my radar, but picked the first two up on steam when on sale, and found another love. I don't know why I enjoy it so much, I just do.
Zelda. Do I even need to explain this one? The thing I love best about Zelda though is how the story, albeit simple on the surface, gets incredibly in depth. The other day i was playing majora's mask and had a realization about it connecting it to Twilight Princess like never before.(I ran to the internet, but alas i was not the first to think of it)
As for Portal 2, The ingenious level design, wonderfully unique concept, hilarious script, and a story that had surprised me more than a few times this game Easily sits Number 1 on my favorite game of all time.

Game: Kid Icarus: Uprising and Final Fantasy IX

Series: Mario and Luigi (still need to buy the new entry!), Pokemon (never disappointed me so far :3)

Game Donkey Kong Country Returns: I put platformers on a high standard, because they're easy to pick up and play, but takes time to master. Thats what a 2D Platformer should be anyways. Donkey Kong Country Returns is a great platformer for that reason, and the atmosphere that comes with it.
Franchise Super Mario: It can get away with anything, and will turn out to be fun for everyone and simple to play in its long line of franchises.
I'd also say Professor Layton is a great series.

Favourite series at the moment? Dragon Quest.
Childhood nostalgia I rediscovered a couple of years ago, and it's a series whose games I constantly enjoy. It's also a pretty consistent series, so seeing a bad entry is rare. Plus the revived spinoff series Dragon Quest Monsters has made me quit playing Pokémon. Now if only they'd release its 3DS games over here in the West, I'd be set for a while. :L

As for a favourite game, I really cant say. Far too many factors and considerations to do so.
