I loved Jade Empire on my phone, although it seems to have disappeared from Google Play now Not played KotoR 2, is that as good as the 1st 1?
When I actually get an XBox One & I'm looking in the store on that, is it easier to search for games?

Ok why did you make another thread when you asked that question in this thread

https://www.nintendolife.com/forums/other_gaming/xbox_a_gener...

Which is the main thread.

Also it appears you haven't read the rules otherwise you would have known that it's against the rules here to create duplicate threads.

I suggest you go read them now.

Sorry for not being active much recently, but I’m very much alive!

BruceCM

Well, I'm also asking more about the games here, @Tasuki .... Thought it'd be better to have a thread for that?

Perhaps changing the name of the topic to "Backwards compatible games" and discussing original Xbox and Xbox 360 games here...

Can't edit title now.... @BlueOcean but I only got about half way through actual XB1 games before getting fed up Hence, there are probably more I'd like but looking through so many is very tedious & why I'm wondering about the Store on XBox

@BruceCM That's a nice complaint to have, too many games available. You can organise them by name, recently added or just search. You can browse them easily on the Game Pass tab once you have the console, it's a piece of cake. I think that a moderator can change the thread name.

GamePass only has about 250 games, that's fine... I just meant looking through all xbox one games, where there's more than 1500 Not that I'll like 90% of them, which is what makes it tedious going through them all Also seems to be hundreds of 360 BC games, so some ways to narrow choices .... Problem is I don't know what actual games I'm looking for! Or I wouldn't need to look

I check the Game Pass and backwards compatible games lists regularly but I haven't ever checked the full Xbox One games list, has someone ever done so? When there is a huge sale like the summer or Black Friday sales there are around 300 games included and all are discounted, so that's a good time for checking Xbox One games that we might have missed.

Did you get your Xbox soon after release, @BlueOcean ... ? Anyway, suggest some games I might like for it?

@BruceCM I was Nintendo-only until this generation. I got a PS4 at launch, I only got and Xbox One when the Elite bundle was released in 2016, that's how I got my Elite controller, the best controller I have ever tried. The only reason why I got an Xbox One was Rare Replay and now I have a huge collection of digital games, most of them I got cheap as Deals with Gold and Games with Gold. The only game I paid full price was Forza Horizon 3 Ultimate. I liked the console and controller so much that I sold my console... and... bough an Xbox One X when it launched in 2017.

My backlog on Xbox One is really huge but my favourite games so far are: Rare Replay (30 games and I go for 100% completion, the Spectrum games have a rewind feature!), Forza Horizon 3 and 4 (the best racing games I've ever played), Quantum Break (I haven't played Alan Wake yet), Super Lucky's Tale (perfect controls, great music and graphics), Halo and Gears (all of them available on Xbox One), Killer Instinct (Definitive Edition includes all the content and the arcade games), Ori and the Blind Forest, Sunset Overdrive, Sea of Thieves... I haven't played the Crackdown nor State of Decay games yet. Xbox One is the console that spoils players with so many games, new and retro (which I love) and not paying a fortune for anything. I have my biggest collection ever including rare Sega classics, Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One games.

Backwards compatible games I'd recommend the Dead Space games, the Fable games, Sonic Generations, Sonic CD, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, SSX3, Daytona USA (it's a bit short though), Panzer Dragoon Orta and Hexic HD is free to download for everybody. Yes, there are full games that are (or were) free to download like that and Phantom Dust.

Third-party games I'd recommend the Assassin's Creed games, Bioshock Collection, Resident Evil games, Final Fantasy games, The Witcher 3, Crash Bandicoot N.sane Trilogy, Crash Team Racing, Team Sonic Racing, Redout, Spyro Reignited Trilogy, The Evil Within 1 and 2, the Tomb Raider games (new and retro), the Metro games, Wonder Boy, Monster Boy, Rayman Legends, Sonic Mania, Yooka-Laylee, Unravel (my favourite indie game) and Unravel Two.

I'm sure that I'm missing something though and I'm always downloading new stuff via Game Pass like Monster Hunter World which I'm playing right now. I had played Monster Hunter Tri on Wii and 4 Ultimate on 3DS.

Banjo-

BruceCM

Well, I already got the Final Fantasy games on Switch, so it's really just the FFXIII trilogy & FFXV, @BlueOcean ... Ignoring the 2 mmorpgs, I'll then have played all of them, apart from FFII
Halo are fps games, right? I don't tend to go for shooting games at all, so I'll probably skip those. Gears sound better, overall; depending what's in GamePass or with Gold & in sales, etc, I'll probably try one
Witcher 3, I'll get for that rather than the Switch one, though & obviously there's the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 (which seems to have various weapons options & non-lethal alternatives)

@BruceCM Halo is not the typical shooter. It reminds me a bit of Metroid Prime. Actually, Halo was released a year before Metroid Prime but I played Metroid Prime before. You can try the Halo games on Game Pass, same for Gears. Cyberpunk 2077 looks amazing indeed.

Banjo-

BruceCM

I've not played Metroid (& don't really plan to) .... @BlueOcean But I'll doubtless at least try most of the GamePass stuff for awhile, just in case The Evil Within games seem interesting & then there's all the Resident Evil games, too
Witcher 2 also? Other games like that or anything?

Banjo-

@BruceCM Definitely get the Resident Evil and The Evil Within games and request a thread name change to "Backwards compatible games" to a moderator like @Morpheel before more complainers pop in.

Well, it isn't just for BC games, it's for any that I can play on the XB1, @BlueOcean ... I take it the only person who really complained doesn't actually have any authority here, or the thread would have been locked, anyway?
I can get Red Dead Redemption 1 & 2, right? Latter is this gen!

@BruceCM Yeah Read Dead Redemption 1 and 2 are available but I haven't played them. So when will you get an Xbox One S then?

Sometime this year, @BlueOcean ... Depends how long it takes me to save for it, with so many other games already coming

Ok, so this thread is ask for opinions and recommendations about Xbox one games.

For general discussion about the console, let’s stick to the other thread.

To ask particular opinions about games or seek recommendations, let’s use this one, like the recommendations threads in other sub forums.
