Hi,I'm very interested in this game,
But would it be too late to get it now or should I wait for New Vegas?

Will New Vegas continue the story of Fallout 3??
Thanks for replies

I was thinking about getting it myself
I need to check if it will run on my PC though. From what I hear, it is worth it. Plus, you will be waiting quite a while for the new one anyway

A: Two, one to hold the light bulb, the other to rotate the universe.

I'd say, get Fallout 3 and then get New Vegas.

If you don't get Fallout 3, you'll be missing out on one hardcore WRPG! =D

Apparently it is being aimed at a Q4 2010 release date.

In 2047, it wouldn't even be too late to get Fallout3.

especially fallout 3, amazing game. a game of the year edition recently came out as well, with all the DLC.

and about the 'story' no you'll probably not play the same character, as was the case with fallout 1, 2 and 3. it's the same united states, but different citys every time and mostly different NPC's.more than a few references to earlier games as in 'back west' and stuff like that, same factions and overall backstory that's as close you'll get to an overstretching storyline.

@Sean.... grab the Fallout 3 Game of the Year addition as it contians $40 USD of DLC on the disc as well as the original Fallout 3 game. It was my first Platinum Trophy and one of the best games Ive ever played, I dropped over 130 hrs into the game and still didnt see all of it or touch any DLC.

Wait for the GOTY pride drop

Eventually Fallout 3 will be 30 bucks and only then will I pick it up.

New Vegas is completely different anyway.

The way I understand it, New Vegas will be more based off the storyline in of Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics which were all set in the Western US.

I bought mine at Best Buy when they had a buy 2 get 1 free deal. GOTY edition too. Occasionally Best Buy and Toys R Us will have deals like that throughout the year. I've seen Target do it as well.

Yep, Toys R Us has become my #1 to watch Video Game buying wise. They have been running crazy sales for the past few months.

I'll be picking up the PC Game of the Year Edition eventually (probably once the price drops). I just downloaded the first two Fallout games since they just became freeware so I'll be busy with them for the time being.

Withe the Game of the Year Edition out, now's the best time of all to get Fallout 3. And of course, if you don't want to play through all those Add-on packs, you could always get the cheaper regular version, which is now only $29.99, or less if you can find it on sale.

They are not freeware. Not the last I checked, anyways. They put out a collection just last year containing Fallout 1, 2, and Tactics. If the company is still making money on them, then downloading them for free on the internet is piracy. The only exception I know of is Downloading Fallout 1 on Gametap by signing up for the Free Package. Gametap pays for that, in the hopes that it'll entice you to sign up for their paid services so you can play more of them. Trust me, unless the company holding the license makes an official statement saying you can download their game(s) for free, it's not freeware.
