Topic: Worst Video Game?

The worst video game I can remember playing is Shadow the Hedgehog, but I definitely don't think it's bad enough to be one of the worst games ever. I have a lot of mediocre licensed platformers on GG and Genesis. I'm sure one of them is probably worse than I remember, but they're not high up on my list to go back and play.

I am way too lazy to think of something clever.

I cant believe that how many people hate this game, I thought it was good. I think this game had a lot of potential to be amazing, but they tried too hard to make it "badass" and dark.

That Neopets game on the PS2. It's BAD but man was it ever hilarious...

Carmageddon 64, anyone? It gets absolutely nothing right. Buggered controls, crippled handling, blurry graphics - to an extent that seeing what is going on is really difficult - and, the cherry on top, inept gameplay.

You've got your games that are 'crap but amazing': this is too dreadful to be considered one of those.

Wow, how close I was. I had a choice between King Kong DS or GC... got lucky.

I haven't played it personally... but without even playing it, big rigs trumps EVERYTHING I've ever played.

Super Pitfall, which is not really a good game, is actually decent compared to Rugrats! The Movie (GBP/GBC). It's much more tolerable controlling Mario-lookalike Pitfall Harry; than it is Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, and Lil (and why did the developer(s) think it was such a good idea to recuperate every item after getting hit (no matter how many items you got)???).

Is it just me, or does the majority of people dislike educational titles, like Ecco Jr. and Donkey Kong Jr. Math?

Good, and you? I grew up in the 90s so educational games like Carmen Sandiego, Word Munchers, and The Oregon Trail were all we had in 1st-2nd grade when it came to games in school (this was before Gameboy came around) and they were awesome on those ancient Apple computers. But to be fair, I also enjoyed surfing Encarta during computer classes, lol. I guess the tag of "educational games" puts off a lot of people but some do enjoy the Brain Age games so there's still a market for educational games. I'll just say they don't make educational games like they used to. Word Muchers HD would be awesome.

The Chester Cheetah games for SNES. There is actually two, and one is decent (but still bad) compared to the other, but the one that really sucks has to be the dumbest, hardest platformer with the worst controls that's completely devoid of fun and makes you want to stab yourself in the first five minutes.
That being said, for some reason I own them both. And I even have the box and instructions to teh really crappy one. Don't know what I was thinking. If anyone wants to see for themselves how awful it is, just pay for shipping and its yours.

Also, Ren and Stimpy Fire Dogs was another completely stupid and horrible game where I've never even been able to beat the first level. Most of the Ren and Stimpy games were awful, but this one's the worst by far.

Very true!

Plenty of ZX Spectrum budget games spring to mind, but since they were only £1.99/£2.99 each i'm not going to name and shame any one in particular, there were more than enough good ones to make up for it.
I'm more careful when it comes to console games due to the higher costs. The following games stick in my mind - luckily i never bought any of them but played them on various mates' consoles back in the day.
Microcosm (CD32) good graphics at the time but almost no gameplay.
Rise of the Robots (Amiga/CD32) completely broken gameplay
Mad Dog Mcree (3DO), i can't believe they released a version of this on the Wii, i doubt if the wii pointer control would really improve things much.
