Football for the 2600 was teh worst game I've personally ever played. I believe there were 2 football games for the 2600 and I had the one simply titled, "Football". Just horrible...also, I get a strange sneaking suspicion that a lot of people here are just saying games that they've never played but saw a video on it at AVGN so now it's their worst...example, all the misinformation on E.T. ... bad game? Yes. Cause for the crash? No. It's regarded the way it is because it ended up defining all the problems that were already around during that era of gaming. The downfall of gaming was already starting to rear its ugly head before E.T. had been released.
I'm going to have to agree with briunj04 on this one and say Shadow the Hedgehog. Wow, was that game awful. SEGA took everything good about Sonic, threw it out the window, took everything bad about Sonic, turned it up to eleven, and then added guns and (albeit mild) language. I do have to admit, though, that "Where's that DAMN fourth Chaos Emerald?" had me in stitches.

I have Shadow The Hedgehog on GCN, not the worst game but still pretty bad! I enjoyed it only a little. It's only decent until you unlock all endings then it's garbage.
However, if you want to find out about Shadow's past, watch all the CGI cutscenes, or hear all the music from the game then just watch or hear them on YouTube and skip the game, I recommend doing that instead.

What about Ninjabreadman and Anubis II for the Wii? Although the worst I played was Superman 64. I can't believe I actually got past those stupid ring levels. I got stuck on some level where you had to go defuse bombs and you had to fight some chick from the Phantom Zone(I can't remember her name).
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer for DS. Even Nintendo Power bestowed one of their rare 2.5s upon it, what an honor! i hated the movie and yet the free ticket that came with the game that i used to see it for the fourth time was way better.
@kevohki - long time no see. How've you been? Is it just me, or does the majority of people dislike educational titles, like Ecco Jr. and Donkey Kong Jr. Math?
