We've all seen it, games that are released tend to release these game items that require you to pay them inorder to enjoy the game better. I'm worried if Nintendo is going to use these Microtransactions like how Nether realms just did with Mortal Kombat X. What if the new Fire Emblem game had this special character that you need to buy rather than doing it like Awakening? What if for every item you get in Zelda cannot be achieved without paying for them with real money instead of Rupees? I'm worried about this.
Yep, they could of made MT's in smash by being able to purchase in game gold, but they didn't, but in a sense amiibo is a bit of it since letting it battle you will get little random things from it...and of course it isn't free, but it has more then one use, other then that the outfits are just plain DLC.
I've always defined a microtransaction as something consumable. Once you use it, or use it X number of times, it disappears and you have to buy it again.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
"microtransaction model are sometimes referred to as "freemium". "Pay-to-win" is sometimes used as a derogatory term to refer to games where paying for in-game items can give the player an advantage over other players, particularly if the items cannot be obtained by free means. The objective with a free-to-play microtransaction model is to get more players into the game and provide desirable items or features that players can purchase if they are interested in them - it is hoped that in the long term the profits from a microtransaction system will outweigh the profits from a one-time-purchase game."
Doesn't sound like Nintendo is abusing this practice. In fact it's only in their free games such as pokemon shuffle. How many of THOSE types of games exist from Nintendo?

Then again, Nintendo didn't really make those. (And they're not exactly "pay to win").
Game Freak and the Pokemon company are more independent than people give them credit for.
But still published by Nintendo when they are on Nintendo systems (we are talking about Pokemon Shuffle and Pokemon Rumble World, right? If we are talking about the Pokemon Trading Card Game Online, then that is a different story)
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
