I find it unlikely he'd get a PSP Go instead of a PS3 if the deciding factor was supposedly cost. After all, the Go is only $50 less than a PS3, whereas the PSP 3000 is $130-100 less (depending on Core or Bundle Pack). But it IS also possible that this is just a trick. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Dude if you get a PSP Go Im goin to laugh so freakin hard! The smaller one that is only $50 cheaper. Hopefully not, you could always take it back and add some money and get the PS3 as it stomps the PSP.
....PSP IS a portable PSone wich is really cool if you already have a PS3 though.

Yeah, I'm hoping that's what the case is. My Grandma could have also been talking about my sister's item: a iPod Touch, which comes in different sizes (in HD) and costs.

ah you got enough good fun games to tide you over for a year it seems. unless you play an ungodly amount of video games...
so play those for a year, and try again next year! this is not a loss
I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you aren't TRYING to insult anybody here, but...seriously, there's nothing wrong with playing more games than that. Personally, I'd have that stack finished in three months at the MOST, provided I didn't have any other games to distract me in that time.
That said, it IS a pretty nice stack of games, so it's pretty good for softening the "no PS3" blow. We'll be waiting for you in the PS3 Fans thread, O_B!

Nice on, Stuffgamer1. I think I average 10-20 new games a year. As for the PS3, you never know what life has in store for you. Having played RE:DC and Dead Space Extraction for 5 hours today, I'd say I came out okay. But yeah, perhaps this summer I'll be able to start posting in the PS3 thread.

Update if anyone cares, my college roommate got a PS3 with Madden 10 and MW2 which I've been allowed to play (I've already almost beat the latter) and I bought myself Force Unleashed (almost beaten) and Resistance. I hope to get my own PS3 this summer, but we'll see...

So.. I was planning on waiting till summer but someone on campus was selling a backwards compatible ps3 with 15 games for a decent price and...I jumped on it. Very excited, especially since I'll be selling 5-10 of those games and hopefully making back 1/3 to 1/2 what I paid. Only annoying thing is having to format the HD (although previous owner deleted most everything it stillonly has 44GB of 55GB avalable), a 3.5hr task that I'm 55% through at the moment...
