I think it would be a great idea. It would be good for streaming, you would get to use the GamePad, more Miiverse support...
Or am I just stupid?

Not changing this until Valve remakes Half-Life for the New 3DS.

It's not a bad idea, though I'm not a technological genius so I don't know how this stuff would work or what possibilities would be now open if this were to happen.

Why would they do that?

Compatible in what way?

Rimmer: "Look, I think we've all got something to bring to this conversation, but I think that from now on the thing you should bring is silence."

Homer: "Oh people can come up with statistics to prove anything Kent. Forfty percent of all people know that."

How exactly is the new 3DS more compatible with Windows. (It is listed as a feature).

I think whatever that is the Wii U should be able to do it as well. (Maybe using the sdcard).

I... don't exactly know what you mean, but if you're talking about Windows on WiiU or WiiU games running on PC - I can hardly express how much of a NO that would be. Streaming in general doesn't have much to do with gaming in the first place - it doesn't make the game any more fun (egomaniacs are an exception, but nobody should support them to begin with).

@unrandomsam It's about the data connect feature which allows the N3DS to exchange data with a PC via wifi. It saves people the hassle of removing the backplate to get the MicroSD Card. This would be wasted on WiiU, since it has no support for any kinds of photos (or anything) on either SD or USB storage device.

They could pretty easily add it. The Wii could do it. More features are always good even if I wouldn't use them.

It would be nice to run a remote desktop through the gamepad for choosing media without getting up off the sofa. I don't know what frequency range the gamepad uses though. Someone, somewhere has probably already hooked it up to their PC as a controller so I can't see why a talented person couldn't make it happen

I only posted this to get my avatar as the forum's thumbnail.

What? We're talking about the WiiU here, and not even the internet browser specifically - the WiiU browser is ACCESS NetFront NX, by the by. Opera was only the browser for Wii.
And, more generally, the WiiU system runs on a closed-source operating system called MULTI, which was developed by Green Hills Software (shameless Wikipedia knowledge theft).

If that is the case they could just get the Access media stuff. (My TV uses that and it is basically perfect any problems are never the TV and always the client)

It is? I always thought Nintendo produced their their OS's and internet browsers in-house.I mean they have to use those huge R&D departments for something, right? Seems really unNintendolike to outsource so integral part of their system. Well, I guess I learned something new today.

Currently on the plate:
Mount and Blade: Warband – Napoleonic Wars
Chivalry
Super Mario 3D World – Finishing the last few levels.
Mario Kart 8

Wikipedia says MULTI is the IDE and Toolchain

It doesn't say they use Integrity which is the OS.
