I heard that there are new consoles coming out that will attempt to improve on the Wii's capabilities (better response, etc). I'm sure they'll sell better because of "higher quality".
Then again, Nintendo has survived because of variety, not quality alone.

Actually SEGA is rumored to have a casual console in the works, but the real problem for Nintendo right now is Playstion Arc (Move) and Project Natal. Playstation already has developers porting Wii games to the Playstation 3 and rumor has it a HD version of Red Steel 2 is coming to Playstation 3 and Lost Winds is also getting a PSN release in HD. The Arc (Move) is supposively more responsive than the WiiMote and will be far more capable of running FPS controls, etc. I think that is where Nintendos real competition is. There are a lot of gamers that have shyed away from the Nintendo with the Wii and between Natal and Arc(Move) a Wii HD prob will not bring them back. Though Nintendo will ALWAYS be bringing in masses of new gamers because children flock to Nintendo and the Nintendo franchise and grow to become gamers and heck prob Nintendo Life users as well

Will Move really be better than motion controls? I don't think there's an infrared pointer like there is with Nintendo's Wiimote. I thought it had something to do with the PSEYE tracking the position of the lit ball on the end of the controller. I feel like a camera system can't be a more accurate way to do point at the screen shooters. Like Natal, I'm thinking the first batch at least, will be glitchy and, just like with Wii, you'll see nearly all 3rd party games in the beginning with completely broken controls.
Haven't ever seen it used, and I could be TOTALLY wrong on that one though. I've personally found WM+ along with the infrared to work just fine for me. Also, it looks like a remote (well at least until you put those silly jackets on them) instead of an alien probing device.
@Token Girl... yes, and today it was CONFIRMED that it can do better than infared. It has less than 1:1 latency. Meaning it has less than 1 Frame of latency, so most games run what guessing 40-60+ frames per second that mean the lag will only be in 1 of the 40-60+ frames. Virtually as minimal as technically possible, and way to fast for the human eye to see it. Its a dang good technical achievment, and there are 36 Third Party Publishers now in development for the periphial, and Sony has also confirmed use for Little Big Planet and Modnation Racers, and announced a whole batch of new titles for launch today at the GDC Conference.
To finish answering your question concerning the difference not from a technical standpoint in comparison of Move to WiiMote the WiiMote does indeed use infared wich has several frames of latency, wich is why the precision isnt where it should be and developers ended up going with the "waggle" movements for inputs, Move fixed this solution because of better hardware. Sorry it was still Techy lol.

From a lot of reports, the rip-offed 'move' is a lot less accurate than the wii remote. Check out IGN's hands-on. Also, from a technical factual point of view, the pointer of the rip-offed 'move' will have a lot of lag and will be very inaccurate, because it lacks the spatial resolution as a result of using the camera. It has a lot of problems. The camera does present advantages as well, but the pointer at least sucks and is very very slow. Remember that Nintendo has experimented with this idea, and rejected it. The IR sensor bar works much better.
So ends a saga older than time itself. The World's oldest and fiercest army has been led to victory, and a lost generation is delivered from its fear of extinction. As the sun sets over the field of conflict the dinosaurs disperse, hoping never to set foot in this place a...
Personally, I think the Wii has nothing to worry about. From the previews of the Playstation Move I've read, it's not as accurate as the Wiimote and there seems to be no games that will make it a must-buy (for now). And as many people pointed out about the Natal, completely motioned controlled devices will never work. The Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy has taught us that and we're not going to forget it soon.

From my point of view Project Natal will be released first since PS3's Move was in it's Beta at E3 09 till GDC we saw the final version, Project Natal was already in it's final version, Also Wii has in established 68 Million owners worldwide and it now cost 200 Dollars / Euro / Pond (correct me if i'm wrong since i lived in the US and i don't know if it's the same number of cost in EU as well) so i don't think PS Move will be a big impact since most owners will say oh but we "experience" this 4 years ago (my guess is this will be released in Nov) and the fact a PS3 cost a 100 dollars more then the Wii and this is a add-on add-on most of the time are commercial failure and the fact i heard it cost 100 dollars makes it a no deal since you can by 2 Wii's instead. Project Natal on the other hand shows non-controller which is very deferent then Wii-Remote and PS Move, so this might be a hit if we see great software for it, however despite that it also seem unsuccessful since it's also a Add-on. Nintendo on the other hand has a solid price, system packed in with motion from the start so Wii-Remote is and will stay on top.
I think unless Move gets really awesome games, it might just be Sony's latest disaster. Project Natal expands on Nintendo's idea so it might do better since it went a step ahead.
Somebody set up us the bomb. Wii: 8703 7486 8875 3789 I love PWN3NG NintendoLife members on Tatsunoko :-)
This generation? No. Move is a rip off sent to die. Natal is...well..typical MS missing the point about the audience they try to grab.
Next generatrion who knows.
How many of Sony's accessory products have failed, exactly? The Buzz controllers (Buzz was a runaway success), EyeToy and Singstar all suggest to me that they'll do a great job in getting Move into people's hands.
