This is a serious problem for Apple and its gaming ambitions. There is a tonne of great games on the iPad and iPhone, but no one seems to realise this.
Is it just a lack of messaging? What do you think Apple can (or should) do to help people realise that the iPad (especially, but also the iPhone/ iTouch) is a genuine gaming device?
Edit - as I was not able to make a reply before this thread was locked for no apparent real reason: @Kid_A I don't think that's true. If you look around - N4G or forums or whatever, you'll see plenty of people going on about how the App Store just has "shovelware" and "$.99 non-games."
I think there's a genuine lack of understanding when it comes to what games are, and are not, available on the App Store - and as long as that perception is there, Apple will struggle to attract serious gamers.
I apologise for apparently making a thread that should be locked.
Why do people think the only game on the 360 is Call of Duty? Why do people think the only overrated films are Transformers 2 and Avatar? Why do people think Nintendo only has Mario games? Why are ships coming out of the base?
