always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)
I want to see how Nintendo would do making a Sonic game.
Suda51's take on Resident Evil
Retro Studio's Take on Megaman
Wayforward's take on Space Invaders

Retro doing Megaman? What an idea! That would be the greatest!!! I'd love to see how a non Nintendo developer, like Rockstar games, would do with Mario. But we will never know
I'm absurdly late to this party, but I'll post anyway -
*Even if they were just given the keys to a new spin-off (The Scientific Misadventures of Ema Skye!), I'd love to see Spike Chunsoft's take on the Ace Attorney franchise. I might actually trust them a little more with the series than a Shu Takumi-less Capcom team.
*I'd also be interested to see what Retro could do with 2D Zelda (or, better yet, StarTropics!), and/or 2D Metroid, if Nintendo HQ forces them to go back to that particular well.
*Atlus' Persona team and Suikoden, though it's admittedly an awkward fit - but this game dev/game pairing will never happen, so I guess worrying about it is rather pointless. I mostly just want a new Suikoden game and Konami seems to be in no rush to make one themselves. And I at least know Atlus is capable of providing an interesting scenario and three-dimensional characters worthy of Suikoden (even if their take on the series would likely be very different stylistically).
*And I'd be willing to trust WayForward to at least competently handle any 8-/16-bit side-scrolling action franchise. Mega Man X and Castlevania, in particular, come to mind.
