Can't decide. I love all of my handhelds: GBA, DS Lite, 3DS. I also have Wii but I just don't like home consoles as much in general. Then there's also SNES but I don't have more than 4 games for it yet as I just got it few months ago. I'll just say that it might be 3DS as I can play Mario Kart 7, Pullblox, all my DS games, 9 awesome GBA games (I didn't like one of them) and Mario's Picross + others.

I really loved the DS for the plethora of awesome RPG's, as well as the PSP. The Xbox 360 has such a wide range of games, so it's the thing I play the most. The SNES has some incredible games on it, not to mention what are arguably the two best RPG's ever made (FF6 and Chrono Trigger). However, Turbografx 16 is where it's at.

And just for the record, in a very close second place is the N64 for best console. I grew up with it, and it has my favorite game of all time on it (Banjo Kazooie).

For me, the Gamecube. Although they're not very critically aclaimed, Mario Sunshine, MK Double Dash, and Luigi's Mansion are three of my favourite games of all time. There's others too, like Soul Calibur, Metroid Prime... but I won't list them all. The 3DS is catching up though. If the likes of Revelations, Kid Icarus, Fire Emblem, Monster Hunter, Paper Mario, Theatrythm, Beyond the Labyrinth, Mario Tennis and all others impress, by the end of 2012 it may have shifted to 3DS. Though I have to say, I'm absolutely loving the look of Wii U...
It had everything. Amazing games library that excelled in every genre (and of course Nintendo's output on it was immaculate). More advanced than the NES, but still adhering to the simple and accessible philosophy (back in the days when consoles were pure consoles instead of now when they have to be a confused, multi-media mess). Awesome controller. Aesthetically beautiful console (both the Japanese and US design imo). Stunning 2D graphics that still look just as good today (as opposed to the 3D graphics in the subsequent gen, which have aged badly).
Also, for me, the SNES era was when I was aged 8-13, which is like the best time to be a gamer because you're so into video games at that age, and I guess it's a pretty good time all round really.
Favourite of all time is the snes, so many good games and memories. At the moment im actually gonna say the 3DS i havent enjoyed a console this much in ages, it goes everywhere with me and i just cant wait to see where it is in another years time.

N64. Mainly because nearly every single good game on it I thought was just great and put so many hours into. Even games that had no right to be as great as they were like Bomberman 64 or Glover.
I'm going to get so much crap for this but I'm gonna have to say the PS3. I would say the 3DS, but the thing about that is that my 3DS has so many things wrong with it I can't say it is my favorite. It has a broken R button, scratches, dead pixels, loose D-pad, Circle slider gets stuck, pen won't fit in pen holder anymore, etc. etc. The only thing that was my fault was when I dropped it and put a scratch on the screen. The rest happened before I even dropped it or did anything with it. I still love it though...
Anyways, I chose PS3 because of the durability, they last quite a bit. Online is completely free of charge, which is GREAT. It's also a Blu-Ray player and has a nice and navigational store.
Wii, I was able to get back all the games I sold off, traded and or gave away in the past (and I regret it) and also has some of my favorite games like Kirby's Return to Dreamland, Fortune Street, Donkey Kong Country Returns, New Super Mario Bros. Wii. It's just been a good experience all around for me.
First comment ever!!! Anyway just feel like saying the 3DS is my favorite for now because of Mario Kart and Zelda, etc. I would like to see a better friends list and in game chat like Xbox360. Just sayin it would be nice...
