I feel sorry that EA gets so much flack. Yeah, they're not perfect, but they tend to put out pretty high quality games, and they seem to want to shake off some of their mistakes, and they've been pretty admirable about it. The EA humble bundle is something I haven't seen any other publisher try to copy. That's something that I hope other companies follow suit on.

I think the problem is that when EA sucks, they are so bad as a company. Shameless greed 101 or bottomless stupidity or both. I do agree that it's STILL way overblown but it's not unjustified either. I think people were less willing to hate EA for quite a while but then ME3 happened. And then Dead Space 3. And Sim City. And most things iOS. And this is still the company that ran a number of beloved developers into the ground and had some highly questionable at best treatment of their workers (to the point of being a huge scandal of sorts) in the past. I think the fact that EA does publish good games is what makes people so angry at them. It's similar to how I wouldn't care about Capcom's nonsense if they weren't one of my favorite gaming companies still making some great titles.

Speaking of that Sim City, I actually got that as a free game. (upgrading computer, one of the parts gave me a bonus, lol) Though I kinda don't want to play with other people at the moment, does it HAVE to be online? There's no way around it? (also, anyone have it...if I'm stuck with online, I'm still not gonna play with a bunch of randoms. >.>)

Sorry, man. Now you know why people were so angry at EA for making it online-only.

Naw, there was plenty of hatred even before that. It's just that all of those incidents lost them a lot of their defenders, so now it looks like everyone hates them.

The last EA games I liked were Dead Space(1), Medal of Honor: Heroes 2(Wii) and Mirror's Edge. That was 5 years ago.

I was a self confessed Battlefield fanboy, since I rocked 1942 on my father's Nvidia GeForce4 Ti4400 (I was the console kid, he was the PC Elitist). Bad Company 2 (PC) is the highlight of the series, not even the scale of epicness that is 2142 holds a candle in my opinion. Battlefield 3 (particularly that announcement of Premium) killed the franchise for me. I still adore (and continue to pump money into) "F2P" Battlefield Heroes.... Don't ask why.

I can't fathom myself buying another EA game (other than Funds... Kill me now) for the forseeable future, it doesn't help that they refuse to acknowledge the Wii U and dare say that those damned half-assed ports count as support. I could talk about how vile EA are for hours, so I'll go now.

Daily schedule:
Eat, work, make love to my beloved Pokémon LE N64, play EarthBound, repeat.

Battlefield Heroes was a great game. One of the few that I thought did F2P right. It was still more than feasible to get better guns through play, and the guns didn't exactly make up for a lack of skill and coordination with other players.
