I, also, LOVE the Dragon Age series. Mass Effect was awesome, though I get the feeling that it's cool to hate on it lately. Mirror's Edge was also an excellent game.

  • Lord of the Rings: the Two Towers
  • Burnout Paradise
  • Battlefield 1943

Also enjoyed some Tiger Woods PGA Tour (on Wii) & Madden NFL, but that was more to do to the fact that I was having a good time with others, than the games themselves.

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

Mass Effects
Dragon Ages
LOTR Two Towers/Return of the King
LOTR Third Age... A turn based RPG LOTR game that was pretty much buried when the other LOTR games came out. Not a knockout story or anything, but pretty fun and flashy battle animations.
G.I.Joe: Rise of Cobra (I think it's EA?) Fun arcadey game I enjoy.
Godfather 2... again, I think it's EA?

I could probably come up with a good 10 more, but my memory is a blur beyond recent years.

Oh God, I hated this game. Random battles that put Breath of Fire to shame and the slowest battle engine of all time >_> It took like 15 minutes of real time to run through each room due to the excess of random battles and how bloody long it took to finish them. The Moria segment could be used as a torture device.

The burnout series, SSX3, Command & Conquer 3 and BF3 (to a certain degree). That's about it. The games they have been releasing for the last couple of years aren't that good anymore. SSX 2012 was the biggest disappointment ever!

Plenty.
Grew up playing Wing Commander, Ultima, Wasteland, Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit, Theme Park, Fade to Black, Diablo, Theme Hospital, Syndicate, Syndicate Wars, System Shock 2, SimCity, Populous, the Sid Meiers games, Red Alert, Alice and so on..

As of later years I would say.. Well, plenty.

Burnout 3: Takedown, The Saboteur, Oddworld: Strangers Wrath, Mirrors Edge, Black & White, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, SSX 3, Freekstyle, Fight Night, Brutal Legend, Dantes Inferno, BLACK, Timesplitters: Future Perfect, Shogun, Mass Effect, Dead Space, Shadows of the Damned, SKATE, The Sims (especially the first video-game version in the series was really enjoyable), Spore, Dragon Age.. and so on.

Not to mention their great sports-series.

Not many in recent years, NFS on Wii U is good, but before that I would have to go back to Desert Strike, NHLPA Hockey, Road Rash 2 on the Mega Drive

For the most part I like the Need For Speed games. There's been a few recent ones I haven't liked too much but the original Most Wanted, Hot Pursuit on PS3, last year's Most Wanted reboot and Rivals are all great games. Used to be a fan of the Madden games until 2006 when the team making those games just seemed to stop caring.

A lot, actually. A lot of the Need For Speed games, especially the last few. SSX was a fantastic revival of a franchise I enjoyed. Mirror's Edge is still unique to this day. The Mass Effect games are some of the best this generation. Brutal Legend was pretty cool, especially if you were familiar with metal. Dead Space trilogy was good, especially the first two. First Dragon Age was cool. Crysis 1 was revolutionary, and I personally enjoyed Crysis 3 as well.

Oh, and the Rock Band series is easily the greatest collection of music games ever. Rock Band 3 might very well be my family's most played game ever. And that vast digital library would not have happened without the help of a company as big as EA. How many would have been able to do that and stick with it?

I feel sorry that EA gets so much flack. Yeah, they're not perfect, but they tend to put out pretty high quality games, and they seem to want to shake off some of their mistakes, and they've been pretty admirable about it. The EA humble bundle is something I haven't seen any other publisher try to copy. That's something that I hope other companies follow suit on.

Best thread ever
