It's Mad Max. It doesn't need to explain itself. At all. Ever.

It honestly felt like I was the center of the universe for those few, short minutes.

I ripped my favorite shorts off. It. Hurt. So. Good.

A mad max game was a rather intresting and unexpected announcement. Didn't realize there was a market to make games of 80s action movies. I'm wondering if a new new IP would have been best here.

Currently playing: inFamous: Second Son Gonna I've 100% it. Now just running around and doing the paper trail DLC.
Backlog: Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, Civilization 5: Gods and Kings, Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together, and Rune Factory 4.

People don't know what Mad Max is?

I can't believe it took this long to make a game out of those movies. They're fantastic.

Well, heck... a few years back there was a James Bond game, 'From Russia With Love', based on the 60's movie, with Sean Connery voicing Bond to boot. Though, I see Mad Max having more success.

James Bond didn't have a 30 year gap between anything new coming to the series though.

I don't know, I think it's a pretty cool IP to go after. Don't underestimate the amount of 30+ year old fans this franchise has. That's a demographic you need to buy your consoles. It's really the first game that's making me think I should get a PS4 sooner rather than later. (I know it's on XBox as well, but bleh).

@ Jaz007

That's true. But there was a 'Jaws' game, and a 'Warriors' game... both 70's movies. Probably some others. Success might be another story.

This was quite the suprise! Also, who's betting that it's going to be another 3rd person shooter?lol Oh well, at least it's based on an older kick a** movie, starring everybodies favorite classy actor Mel Gibby. I'm assuming beer will be health and when you take damage you randomly start cussing out your wife.

I'm not sure if you're complaining or assuming.

Either way, does it matter? It has potential at being a good game and that's enough to spark interest amongst an audience.

We were all hoping for New New Super Mario Bros instead.

I just remembered, I picked up The Godfather' for PS2 off Amazon. Not an action movie, but had pretty good success. Then I saw there was 'The Great Escape' game on PS2, as well. Clearly, people do think older movies have a chance in modern video games. I expect Mad Max to do pretty well, especially considering it will be a relatively early title.
