Topic: Wanna try my overhead shooter? (Swerd Murd made a game!)

i don't suppose there's a linux version i love overhead shooters

@Mr.Swerd..... dude so Im getting to level 9 without a death wonderfully with my joystick controls wich are awesome. But on Level 10 I cant seem to do anything to the boss at all. It looks like there is a lifebar for him but its not showing up or am I just not good enough?

@Shake - sorry man i'm using mmf and it's all makes-an-exe-specifically-for-windows-y. At the moment linux (and OSX) are a no-go.

@slapshot82 - nope boss is workin just fine You gotta shoot the tentacles consistently...you'll notice them start to thin out as you do damage, but keep in mind--they regenerate. Basically, shoot the continually spawning enemies til you get some gun powerups on the stage, then grab either automatic or trips and point-blank some death on those tentacles. Once you kill them, you can deal some damage to the boss--the tentacles will regrow once, then you can finish the boss off.

Aight.... I swear I dropped a million shots into those tentacles lol. Ill give it a go again with a vengance. I lost all my points on that boss 2 times like a shooter noob

I'd make a YouTube video or two if I could capture my screen at a decent framerate...so far the best my comp can do recording 720 by 480 (the app size) was like 16 fps...

You'll get it though I know it. Automatic when standing on the upper-right most tile and firing left works well too... Takes a few seconds. And sorry about the random 0 in the play area: forgot to remove it! Gonna dop a final version pretty soon

Updated to 1.0--previously mentioned bugs are fixed and Joystick support has all been added via single button-presses. Joystick 1 can be used for either player 1 or 2 and Joystick 2 can be used for player 2. The readme has also been updated to reflect these key additions; the debug keys have also been removed.
