First of all I apologize if this is the wrong place to post this thread. I haven't really seen any posts like this one so I was unsure where to put it.
Anyways, I live abroad and I'm going to visit the UK for a few weeks. I've been before and I've looked around the London district a bit and found a few game stores. This time I want to try and cover the whole area in search of small or independent retro (or current) game stores. Unfortunately the internet isn't wielding many results aside from the well known stores (CeX, GAME, Retro Game Base), so I'm reaching out to all you guys who live in the London area to give me a list of game stores you know that are in the area, by which I mean any small town or city that I can get to via the Underground. Thank you

Hey there! A frequent commuter/visitor to London is here to help you out.

I'm afraid that London is a pretty hum-ho place for the video games 'scene'.

The list of shops you mentioned are all that they really have to be honest; you have GAME, which is horrendously overpriced, Game Focus, which I quite like actually, Retro Game Base and that's just merely okay and CeX is a gloomy second hand shop - one brief trip to one of those stores was quite enough for me!

Ah, it appears that after a swift search on Google, Game Focus is no longer open:

Oh, that's a grand shame...

Arcades wise, you have Namco Funscape, which is about a four or five minutes walk away from the British Museum as well as Burlington Arcade that is somewhere on the Westminster side of the river.

I prefer the former of the two (Namco Funscape) as they have the latest/newest arcade machines from time to time.

Hope I was of some help!

You are more than welcome to ask me any further questions.

Another Retro Video Game store not too far from Retro Game Base is Playnation Games. They're just about 10-8 minutes on a 109 bus to Croydon if that helps.

3DS games:

Mario Kart 7

Zelda OoT 3D

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Shadow Wars

Pokemon Black FC: 2666 2484 8599

Kid Icarus Uprising

Heroes of Ruin
and more.

@Peek-a-boo: Yeah I went to Game Focus a long time ago and was devastated to find it closed. I very rarely step into GAME nowadays, but CeX occasionally have some bargain retro games since they don't really look up the prices of the obscure titles (managed to get both Forsaken and Perfect Dark on 64 for £4 each last year, as well as a complete Pokemon Emerald for £10). Retro Game Base are very overpriced, though I suppose that's to be expected since they are the most well-known retro store in London.

@Marakuto: Thanks for the heads up! I checked their Facebook page and they seem really good, I'll be sure to write them down on my list. Thanks again!

I might write up all the stores I've found over the past few years, but right now I don't have time. Maybe tomorrow once I have everything organised.
