(I looked through all of last year and couldn't find a thread on it, so I feel it's fair game lol)

Anyway, yeah, Uplay. Has anyone used this? I mean I've had Assassin's Creed II for a long time and just noticed it. What it is is an achievement like system for certain Ubisoft games on the PS3, 360 and PC (and I think a Facebook game, also) that, after registering on the Ubi site, gives you points based on certain achievements or trophies (basically just playing through the game). You can then use these points to unlock various things in the game such as in Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands you can unlock Enzios robes from AC:II, a new dashboard theme and challenge stage or in Assassin's Creed II you can unlock Altair's outfit from the first game, extra throwing knives, dashboard theme and a new map to play.

It;s really a good idea that I wish more publishers used. Sure it's nothing that keeps you from enjoying the game without them but it does open up new content that gives the game more replay value and does something that most publishers want you to do to begin with: keeps you from trading in or selling your games and keeps them from being resold to someone else. Really it's what I thought achievements were going to be when I first heard about them oh those many years ago.

So of you that have used it, what is your opinion of it and for those of you who haven't what do you think of it just based on what has been said?

I am the one you despise. I am he who says what you really deep down know but are affraid to admit. I am the Anti-Fanboy, the crusader of truth in a world built on your lies.
