My opinion on the new Tomb Raider is still, and (most likely) forever will be "Meh." Tomb Raider was always a series that sold itself off of exoticism, whether in set-pieces, locations, or other unwholesome things. The new Tomb Raider is throwing all of that out to be more "realistic", something which has been present in the games industry for what I believe to be far too long.

Still undecided on it. I already have Uncharted 3 on the way, do I want to get this too?
As a big Uncharted fan, I feel confident in saying that unless something went horribly wrong, the new Tomb Raider should have no problem topping Uncharted 3. It was an alright game but hardly up to the standards of 2 or even 1 (in terms of fun factor, replay and storytelling). Just from watching some gameplay videos here and there it seems TR has it beat.
So for those of you who watch Conan, you may know that he occasionally does a segment called "Clueless Gamer". Basically, it's Conan reviewing a current game from the perspective of someone who doesn't play (and isn't really interested in ) video games at all, and it's always hilarious.
Last night, he did Tomb Raider. Watch and enjoy the hilarity.
