@MickeyDepends on what you mean by "action" games (fighters? beat-em-ups? FPShooters? shmups? sports-based?), but Bayonetta is awesome.
EDIT:And yeah, Wolverine is excellent as well (a rare case of the movie-game being MUCH better than the movie).

She-Ra is awesome. If you believe otherwise, you are clearly wrong. Also, Lindsey Stirling. Because violin awesomeness.

Can anyone recommend some good, Fast-paced action games?
BAYONETTA is awesome.
Send me the best you've got. Send me your strongest machines. The fight my brother fought, here, now, will end with me.

I'm pretty much asking for the whole spectrum. I just have a real craving for a fast paced action game, and well...I kind of lack those. I think all I have is Devil May Cry (levels are too long) and Bayonetta (haven't played it much yet, guess I'll give that a go first).

@MickeymacHmm...I'm sure you've heard of most of these, but right off of the top of my head I can name:1)Vanquish2)Dante's Inferno (if you like the DMC series)3)50 Cent: Blood on the sand (Not as bad as you might think..,.honest)4)Crackdown5)Wolverine: Origins (better than the movie by a long shot)6)Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (not for everyone, but a solid licensed title)7)Ninja Blade (shallow but fast paced and fun)8)The Club (a quirky fast paced third person shooter)
Thank you The Fox. I decided to get Vanquish, and I'll look into the others at a later date.

Anyone playing Assassin's Creed Brotherhood? Single player is solid and the multiplayer is quite a bit of fun as well. Definitely recommend it.

Bayonetta is just so random and one torture scene made me go 0_0 as it looked more like a fetish gone wrong.
I may get Vanquish but...I am really not into shooters at all.
Main Final Fantasy & Quest/Shinobi Team fan...but I do like many SEGA games and a few Nintendo games.
I can be cute if I want to be, but I choose not to...as it's not my style.

Thank you! I've been enjoying it so far.

I just picked it up last week ($40 new at Gamestop!), and am loving it. It really is just like AC 2.5, but since i loved AC2, more of the same (with some nifty new additions) is fine by me. Haven't gotten into the multiplayer yet; i want to finish (or at least mostly finish) the single player first.
971. Posted: Mon 24th Jan 2011 05:13 GMT
The ending bit of gameplay was a bit hit and miss for me. It was cool, but lame at the same time. The final ending sequence was just as awesome as the ending of AC2 though. Worth every cent. Although, I actually only payed $25 + tax when it was still $60, but that has nothing to do with it.

Gah, I still need to pick Brotherhood up. Everyone around me keeps talking about the fun they've had online with it, so I better jump on the bandwagon before everyone moves on.

OMG, Bayonetta and Vanquish FTW! (My 2010 Game of the Year and Runner-Up, respectively)
...just figured you'd want my two cents in case anyone out there is still decided what AWESOME games to get!

Anybody try the Bulletstorm demo? I thought it pretty sweet, personally.
975. Posted: Sat 29th Jan 2011 21:14 GMT
Yeah, it was pretty fun, but I would have liked to try some multiplayer. Single player I could see getting boring pretty fast.
Anyone try out the Crysis 2 demo? I thought it was alright, but did not live up to expectations at all. It was like playing Call of Duty with some abilities... It was a tiny map, but it looks like the game will not have the largge maps and vehicles like the first game was known for. I really hope they do better with the PC version.

@RavageI agree with you about both games there. Unless the single player mode in Bulletstorm really mixes it up from level to level, it might be one of those games I start off strong on and just never find the incentive to finish.
For Crysis 2 I found the choice of the demo map a little perplexing. I walked away unable to get a solid feel for the game.

The only thing the demo map does show off well, is the different levels. Being able to jump up to and down from multiple levels fairly easily. But the map is way too small and is a bad indication for the rest of the game. Also, the spawn system was terrible at times. It was certainly not a rare occurrence to spawn right in front of or behind an enemy; sometimes the same enemy that just killed you.

I've done a horrible, horrible thing.
I bought First Strike. I've been against DLC for a long time, but today I cracked. I only did it for Ascension, which is actually a pretty cool map. I know everyone has already moved on from Black Ops, but I can't put down Zombies. The multiplayer maps aren't even that good. Anyone else get it?
I also bought I Made A Game With Zombies In It. It's pretty fun for a game so simple.
Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

I'm asking for a 360 for my Birthday in March. Wish me luck

I thought Black Ops would be the CoD to win me over. I thought it had changed. But it betrayed me just like all the other did! They just use me and throw me away after! Like I am some hooker!Well, I am telling you, they are going to pay... they are going to pay...
@Irken: I got my 360 in March as a birthday present to myself Really eventful day too. Parents and sister surprised me by coming to visit, forgot my pin number when I was buying my 360... Went to a zoo... Good fun. Oh, and my brother-in-law bought a 360 as well; somehow bought the more expensive Arcade instead of the cheaper Pro (it was a steal) and then had to go back to get the other one...
