Back on topic, anyone got MTG: Duels of the Planeswalkers? It's the Deal of the Week, and it's a very good game, as well as a cheap way to play the MTG TCG lol

Hey is Final Fantasy XI any fun? COnsidering its an MMO and is there any way you woulnd't have to pay for it?

What I mean by "wouldn't have to pay for it" is just buy the game and have some single player? or is it all MMORPG?

no, Final Fantasy XI is 100% MMORPG, you'll have to pay the subscription to it (Xbox LIVE Gold subscription is NOT required)

Final Fantasy started on the NES, not the Playstation.
And IMO, their hayday was on the SNES.
Am I the only one here that's actually excited for FF13 on the 360?
I'm certainly happy it's coming, since I have a feeling they're trying to do what they did with Final Fantasy 7 and make the genre more accessible, both by bringing it to a new audiance, and through its gameplay and story.
However, I'm not really looking forward to it. Everything about it seems rather unappealing, from the art direction, to the gameplay, and especially the characters and story. My brother's pretty interested in it, which is pretty surprising since he hates most RPGs(although he did like Crisis Core. I'll have to tell him about Agito once we get more info), so I'll probably end up getting it anyways, and of course I'll try to make the most of it no matter how it turns out, but still...
I really wish we had gotten Final Fantasy Versus XIII instead.
Doesn't talk about games.

Awwww Shoot! Oh well is Halo Wars very good? I don't play many RTS's so simplicity is not a problem!

How is Borderlands?

It's good. I got about 50 hours out of it from playing with friends and the story mode. It's not very story heavy, but if you like RPGs and you like FPS's you will enjoy it.

for me, Final Fantasy was good up until Final Fantasy VI... from VII onwards they are VERY boring and unnapealing... the NES and SNES games, as well as the DS remakes have been the only ones worth of my time to be honest...
Halo Wars is awesome, it was Ensemble Studio's last game before restructuring... it's the best RTS out there and the only playable one with a normal controller. If you want an RTS that will be playable on a console, you can't go wrong with Halo Wars.

Yes, especially if you aren't big on RTSes! Halo Wars is very good for teaching you the basics you'd need for any RTS, and it's a pretty good game in its own right, IMO. I'd highly recommend it.

in fact, you MUST go out now and get Halo Wars, is that good... you could try getting the Collector's Edition, is worth every penny.
Is funny how Microsoft Colombia choose to reduce the price of Halo Wars here... it's like $35 Standard and $60 Collector's Edition here lol

Hm........ I'm not a huge fan of Halo, or RTSs. Should I get it anyway?
Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

I wouldn't. Doesn't sound like your type of game.
317. Posted: Wed 13th Jan 2010 00:37 GMT
if you can, try renting it first... I've always seen Halo Wars as a game that can appeal to everyone, no matter how much they like RTS games...

lol, I apparently changed the country I'm connecting from according to the Leaderboard... I'm now in the US! lol... that's weird actually, cause I got a static IP address, and didn't change any regional settings lol

i never have been good at RTSes, but it does look fun. My brother has it.

I just remembered I haven't finished the Co-Op achievement for Crackdown... anyone willing to get some Crackdown fun tomorrow? I love the game, and want to make a Co-Op playthrough for the achievement... plus I wanna play some Rocket Tag... I bought the DLC when it became cheap but haven't really played it much (I bought it more to support the developer and a (then unknown but possible) sequel.
