Has anyone purchased Dead Island yet? I'm loving it so far!
Is it really that good? Wow ill rent it from gamefly next time around. If anyone wants to add me my gamertag is Dragonfly224. I play fighters and shooters mostly.
Anybody here pick up Gears 3 yet? I got it the night it came out and I'm glad to say this time Epic did live up to the 'bigger, better, more badass' hype they were throwing around back in 2008 before they released the disappointment that was Gears 2.
Yeah, Gears 3 is pretty freaking fantastic. I was a bit alarmed when they unveiled the tower defense style changes to horde mode but it worked out nicely.

Well I just 100%ed Halo Reach for the 4th time. Now It's getting a little old. I beat Gears of War 3 too. Maybe I should try hardkore mode on GoW3. I cant wait for a new Halo game tho

God loves you
Bloodrayne: Betrayal (on XBLA) is excellent, if anyone is curious. Quite different from the earlier games, but excellent. WayForward just can't seem to make a bad game!

I can't wait for Halo CE Anniversary. The terminals look like great additions to the game and I look forward to seeing how they plan on having that tie into Halo 4.
@the_shpydar It's fantastic. Some of the level design gets extremely frustrating at the end and maybe even a bit questionable, but it's still a freaking awesome game. WayForward is beyond on of my favorite developers!
I'd recommend for those who own both the 360 and PS3 to get it on the PS3 for one main reason, and that's that the game plays much better with the D-pad, and the PS3 controller offers the best D-pad between the two.

I'd have to agree with that. That's probably my biggest (only?) complaint with the game (and that's not really about the game, rather the system's controller) — plenty of jumps where i wished there was a good d-pad, as you need that extra digital precision.
i just played Gears of War 3 (after 1&2) through with my friend. It was pretty fun playing co-op, but i have a few several complaints: First af all, the story in every GoW is below bad. It's like been made by bunch of teenagers (manchildren). If you enjoy B-action movies with never ending amounts of one-liners, it's propably entertaining. The ending of GoW 3 was incredibly corny, and the way SPOILER Marcus Fenix murders the locust queen is downright repulsive. And why is the queen of locust a human being? There'd better be a good reason 'cos otherwise that's the most senseless thing ever. Secondly, the action is incredibly repetitive. Run, cover, shoot ad infinitum. The boss fights on the other hand were a blast, but it would still be boring to play the campaign through alone. The audiovisual experience were pretty much the same as in the last two games, and we played the game through in 11 hours. All in all, this could have been an expansion to Gow 2 (which could have been the first game's expansion). All the three games are so similar that it could well be only one, 30 hour game. I would give GoW 3 a 7.0/10.
