No. Don't waste money on Steam for indie games--wait for the humble bundles. That's where I got VVVVVV, Cave Story+, and Bit Trip Runner for a lot less.

Funny, Arkham Asylum and Bastion are games I would've included had I extended my list further.

I have my eye on From Dust at $3.74. Anyone care to recommend it?

@Gamesake Who says those particular games are going to appear in future Humble Bundles? That statement is also an insult to the quality of those games: they're completely worth the Steam sale prices, let alone full price.

@TinyOddy Is it also worth the DRM? You should be supporting what the Humble Bundle is doing.

@Gamesake That's irrelevant to my point, and I never said not to support the Humble Bundle. We don't even know it will be an option for those games, and it certainly isn't right now. Apparently @Millenia is fine with DRM, otherwise she wouldn't be asking for Steam recommendations. I could go on.

Thank you so much for the recommendations everyone!! I have since learned that my computer can not handle Portal sadly... However I'm going to buy Ys: The Oath in Felghana, Limbo, Half-Life 2 (which it surprisingly can handle), and BIT.TRIP BEAT. Also, is Cave Story+ worth buying over the free version?

As for Cave Story+, I would say play the free version (have you already?) and if you love it to death like me, spring for +.

Yes I have! I did love it to death. I think I will get the + version so to experience it in a different way when I choose to replay it.

Yeah, no rush on it then. It is worth picking up eventually for the ultimate Cave Story experience, though. If you have a 3DS, iyou might want to wait for that version as it's also headed to the eShop.

@Millenia There are also some daily indie bundles during the sale, and some of the games you mentioned will be featured in those. You can search for a list of them on the internet because they were leaked earlier this week.

Alright, I went slightly over my self-imposed spending cap, but I'm happy that for $21.93, I managed to get:

I already feel like I'm trying to juggle too many games, but I can't wait to dig into (and, inevitably, not finish most of ) that list.

Oh yes, get Cave Story+ and VVVVVV for sure. And Bastion too (even though my cruddy PC can barely run it). Can't believe I forgot about them.

Anyone know what these steam badges on your community page are for?

I'm guessing they're just for fun. I don't see another use for them.

So far I haven't bought much. Only Might and Magic Clash of Heroes and Sanctum. I'm still waiting for some of my wishlist items to go down more; like Oblivion and Civ 4.

Tropico 4 Bundle & Borderlands (GOTY edition) - Yes.

Just played a bit of the Tropico 4 demo, and am impressed. As for Borderlands, that's been on my wishlist for a while, but I've been waiting for a price drop.

Interestingly, the GOTY edition with all 4 DLC packs is priced the same as the standard edition.

I've been able to put a good chuck of time into both Wizorb and The Binding of Isaac now; they're both really fun, but holy crap, if there's one thing Isaac does not lack it's audacity lol

Has anyone seen Indie Game the Movie? I'm thinking of picking it up.
