Topic: ~The Unofficial FALLOUT Series Thread~

So as you know,i do talk about Fallout 3 alot and I made this thread so that we can all just come here and talk about the series,or you can help out other people if their stuck on a part in the games.

PS3,PC and Xbox360 owners are all welcome.
I didn't want to keep talking about it in the PS3 thread So I'd like to know from everyones view on the game.

I will ask questions about the series to you guys and you can just answer if you'd like.
Opinions are nice to hear

2nd question:What is the worst Gun in the game?

The rifle all the way. If you up your stats for it you can headshot a LOT, other than that its the crap I cant remember the name but the one you make and its like a flaming lightsaber, that one rocks.

Mine is the Shotgun.
Its awesome and can eaisly take enemies down!

Oh I made it to Rivet City but I got locked in with some dude in his bedroom and the door closed with me still in there.
He then went to bed so I tried to pick pocket myself out and he caught me and all hell breaks loose.
I have to start again and look for it. lol

I think for anyone who is new to this game:Be prepared and make sure you do quests one by one. lol

Is this a thread for discussing the unofficial Fallout games? I don't know of any unofficial Fallout games.

I played the first game for about an hour. It was okay.

He means it's the main thread for Fallout series discussion(why not just call it the Fallout Series Discussion Thread? Just a suggession), but it's not sanctioned by the Mods or the staff of this site.

Any rare guns are my fav. Infact i'm obsessed with all rare clothes items and guns. I've did all the glitches to get the Kid suits as well. Speaking of exploits, you can glitch the ever living crap out of this game, not to mention crash the game alot.

Lincoln's Repeater is my favorite weapon. Followed closely by the Plasma Rifle. Turning enemies into piles of green goo is always good times.

Has anyone ever played Wasteland on the PC? The "original" Fallout.

@Magi Wasteland looks interesting, but I haven't seen it anywhere at all.

Big fan of Fallout 1 and 2. They're some of the best CRPGs ever made. And they were created by Black Isle, one of the most respected CRPG developers of all time.

Fallout 3 is just meh in comparison. It is almost literally Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion with guns and zombies. Bethesda has their formula and they sure stick to it.

Favorite gun has to be the alien blaster. Man that thing is just so powerful, the lack of ammo's a bummer but I guess it has to be that way otherwise you'd never need another gun.

I purchased it as an old-school rpg compilation iirc. When I get home today, I'll try to see if I can locate it and get the name.

my favorite gun was this old 1800's rifle that you find in a museum somewhere, it had the name of a famous general or president. i can't remember 100%

but basically it had sniper accuracy&range with magnum lethality. and looked like:

I know, Mickey. I was just making fun of the nonsensical trend of putting "Unofficial" in all thread titles. Obviously nothing is "official." Game companies certainly aren't going to come make official threads on this forum. And if they did, I think we can safely assume that "unofficial" is the default.

that's the one yep, don't think there was any gun like it so definitely. best gun in the game for sure, especially if you're specced for small guns and 'pause mode'(too long ago since i played cant remember the name)

I stick with the shotgun. Love a lot of the guns but I find myself going back to the shotgun all the time

I do not like the assault rifles because they never hit on target. Well maybe its because I don't got the stats but so far,I hate them.
Only up close are they good. lol

My least favorite is the shotgun. If I'm close enough to actually use it, I've already failed. Snipage ftmfw!

Worst Gun in the game is any I dont have ammo for, thats it.

I love the Alien Blaster but I went around destroying crap with it and no more ammo. My brother is downloading the Mothership DLC to get more ammo so going to have to download it off of him.

Hey is the Crashed UFO in this version of the game?

Or do I have to have the Mothership Zeta DLC?

@Sean.... I only started using a guide about 80 hrs in, and I wouldnt recommend using one any earlier as it takes the fun out of the exploration. All I can tell you is I think it was somewhere in the NE section of the map and when you run into some intense radiation, start looking around and you will find a UFO. I completely ran into by accident and didnt know anything about it.
