Do you have Steam on the PC? If not, why not? It's a great way to download games, play with friends and get a variety of excellent gaming goodies on your computer. Anyways, if you do have it (and if you don't, take a look what's on offer and get an account here), why not join the Nintendo Life group, where we'll get round and have a game whilst perving on each other's playing stats from time to time? Here's the link to the Nintendo Life group, currently run by myself: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/Nintendolife
Hope to catch you over there soon, peeps, and our first events will be scheduled as soon as I can see the numbers that actually join.
There he goes, Firkraag. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die. - My VGscore
I bought Audiosurf back when it came out, but ever since my computer crashed a couple months later I haven't bothered with it much. My computer doesn't run games well. Audiosurf was a blast, but it got old after awhile.
I'm on Steam sometimes as "Objection!" I mostly only play Audiosurf though. Its been a while since I played Team Fortress 2 or Zombie Panic Source!

So, theoretically speaking, hypothetically, just for the sake of argument, in theory, if we were to have an Audiosurf competition for the group, would you be interested? I'm speaking hypothetically here of course.
Hypothetically speaking, no. But in actuality, yes.
I'd have to redownload Steam and Audiosurf, but I could do it. It would depend on the music selection, I guess. I don't think I'd find it fun if I don't like the music, and I don't exactly listen to the most popular bands. Also, you aren't allowed to pick the Chicken Dance. I know you want to. I can tell by your... well, by your chicken.
We could do an Audiosurf competition, yes. I'd also like to do Team Fortress 2 and Left 4 Dead events. If you've got any friends that you know might be interested, don't forget to let them know as well!

It's okay, I don't listen to much "popular" stuff either. Well, unless you count popular stuff from the 60s and 70s...
Also, I'd be up for a TF2 competition. Just be aware that I AM AWFUL AND WILL LOSE.
I just posted this on the Bit Trip thread in response to the Audiosurf tangent, but I deleted it to move it here so we don't end up with two threads about the same thing:
Oh man, Audiosurfing to Bit.Trip soundtrack! That's a great idea! I hope they release a track from Core before this contest starts.
But Sir Chicken, what if not everyone has access to the suggested songs? Could we make it a rule that the song has to be a free and legal download available online somewhere? I don't have a file-sharing software and don't plan to get one. (Of course, don't let me hold the contest back if I'm the only one who cares about this.)
EDIT: Oh, and since we're moving this here, here's the link to Desention
Well, I have a vast music library myself, so I'm thinking everyone can pick a song and email the mp3 to me. Not so I can keep it, of course. I'm sure I will already own the physical CDs. I will just be checking the tracks for encoding errors and such. Yes. That is why you will email them to me.
Then, right before the contest begins, I have a feeling we'll be able to download a zip file of all the tracks involved from mediafire or rapidshare or something. I don't know why, but I think there will just happen to be a download available that will suit our specific needs. Again, it's just a hunch, and wouldn't have anything to do with us. But if we just happen to FIND it...well...
I was thinking Bit.Trip as well! Since we're a Nintendo group, we could have a good all-round selection. In fact, let's come up with the first songs now!
How about one of the old Sonic tunes? I've got a bunch of those. Some Big Bang Mini music would be cool. And something from World of Goo - maybe the computery music? (Note how I strayed away from Plattchen to avoid controversy )
Anyways, we still need a bunch of new group members before we get anything sorted, so don't forget to sign up on Steam!
I've got the Pikmin soundtrack, and most Zelda stuff...anyone heard the Mario Zelda Big Band live album? Any of that would be killer...
Definitely glad to stick to a video game theme. Even great covers and remixes! (And hey, bring on the Plattchen man! If the tunes are good, nobody will complain. )
Mother 3 has a great soundtrack, and the Brawl remixes are fantastic. Rhythm Tengoku (GBA)'s music would be good, too, though I'm not familiar with songs from the new one. Tetris Theme A (Korobeiniki) is a classic, whether using it from one of the actual games or one of the many covers of it like Ozma's. Any of the themes for Cave Story would be good.
I think we should bracket a tournament...(using scores for win/lose) and each person may choose songs but must provide links/emails to everyone if they dont have the song.

I love Steam, haven't played TF2 in a while. But i have a problem and don't know if you people can help me out. Well like a month ago, i cleaned my computer and got rid of First Half Life, half life 2, CS:S, CS 1.6, and all other games i have except for TF2 and Portal. Well a week ago, i tried to play TF2 and when i searched for servers, none came up!. This was first time i played on steam since cleaned computer. My buddy told me that i have to install HL2 in order to play other games but i dunno.

It's more than likely a firewall or connection problem.
I think your friend got a little confused, as most Source games (i.e. excluding Left4Dead) is based on the Half Life 2 (or Half Life 2 Episode 2) code, but that's included in the install of your first Source game, regardless of it being Half Life or not..
